Montana/southern alberta Camping
Does anyone know of any good camping spots in Montana or Southern Alberta, preferably with a lake.
Thanks

There is a good campground right outside of Waterton and another right in the townsite and there is a huge lake there. It's cold as hell year round but good for fishing if you have a boat. The town itself is almost right on the US/Canada border (the US side being Glacier national park).
This is a shot from Bears Hump (short hike from the information center).
You can kind of make out the campground below on each side of Cameron Creek before it outlets into the lake.

How rustic or not do you want the camping? Fishing, swimming, skiing?

Lots of bear activity there this time of year. They had a jogger get 'bit' a couple of weeks ago. A bit of a fishy story...sounds like he panicked and sort of caused the 'attack'.
Logan Pass is supposed to be open this weekend.
And I'm stuck here in the 100 F stinking nastiness.

IronDave, what kind of amenities do you need? Power or tenting? Do you have a boat? Do you need a nice beach to go with the lake? How long will you be staying (ie need a local store)? There are a TON of options, but it depends what your needs are.

Koocanusa is relatively remote as well. For such a huge lake, there's not always a lot of traffic up there. My favorite, though, is floating the Kootenai from the dam to the bend just above Libby fly fishing. The Kootenai is an underappreciated trout stream and boasts the Montana state record for Rainbows.
I remember camping up Bristow Creek road as a kid, but it has been 30 years and I have no idea what it's like now. If you like remote and isolated like I do, you can find something up there.

Fairly Remote - Hungry Horse National Park - It is my personal favorite! On a gorgeous lake and about 35 minutes South West of Kalispell, MT. Huge camping lots. Has an outhouse.
Not remote - Whitefish State Park - Stayed there a few weeks ago. Faily big lots, but are close to other people and not ideal for loud camping. Has showers, washrooms, tap water at some spots, and is just on the outskirts of the town (Whitefish, MT).
