They're not "peeps", they're members of a Gentleman's Club

And, my absolute, pet PEEVE, is, when people, use, too many commas, it, makes my brain, keep, stopping, and I usually, have to read, the sentence, like, five times, to understand it.

Or no punctuation at all.... just a continuous run-on sentence.
Somewhere in this world of cyberspace, there should be a happy medium.

bone and de-bone.
ie. I am going to bone out this carcass
I am going to de-bone the carcass.
To de-bone something amounts to a double negative, thus in fact you are saying you are going to re-insert the bone into the meat.
P.S. I could think of a few jokes to make about what I just said here but I'm not going to touch it with a ten foot pole...

Methinks that "I'd like to bone her" is definitely not the same as "I'd like to de-bone her".

I often use this same logic when I am talking - "Hey, I'm just talkin' here, not making the Emancipation Proclamation!" Then I mutter incomprehensibly, drop some f-bombs, and belligerently ask people who they think they're looking at.

Had a woman today email me at work about why our department had to handle a certain task. One of her reasons? the "shear volume". Maybe that's right, but it sure looks wrong.
Edit: Thanks 1234, I was quite sure it was wrong, but drank a lot last night and am still a bit out of it, so I was acting as if I was on the fence to avoid being ridiculed if I was wrong. The threat of internet shame scares me deeply.

It's sheer, not shear.
Sheer as in steep...
Not, shear as in sheep...
I have many, most already mentioned. Were and We're is a good one.
