Well just the same old problem with the jays. Go from sweeping the world champs to winning 1 of 3 from the worst team in the league. Getting up to play against the lesser teams has been a problem for years....

To be fair, you aren't going to hit every game, they lost two extra inning games with a very depleted pitching staff.
The way I look at this whole season, outside of the Dodgers and possibly the Red Sox, everything is up for grabs. Even the Nats, who as you've said are the worst team in baseball, are now 4 of their last 6 and they did that against two playoff calibre (as it stands now) teams in the Jays and Yankees.
If you would have told me at the start of the season that on June 23rd the Jays would be one game out of the Wild Card and in striking distance of the division lead, i would have been ecstatic. The way they have done it diminishes its luster.

The lack of a starting rotation is starting to kill the bullpen. They did an amazing job in Washington depsite the eventual outcomes.
They really need to hope Doc is back 100% just to let the bullpen rest

How many days in a row will SNW show a freaking Yankees game. Us poor people without the extra sportsnet channels are starting to lose it. I HATE YOU ROGERS.

7-5 win tonight over the Reds puts the Jays just percentage points behind the Yankees for the Wild Card and even in the old games back category. Pretty remarkable that a team who's had this many injuries to their starting rotation is still finding a way to be where they are. As I mentioned in the other thread mediocrity seems to have found it's way into MLB this year as there could be 7-8 teams in each league in the 87-80 win range who think they're competing for the Wild Card spots.

Arroyo relieving some bad memories from last season.
Hill and Lind with 2-run homers, Wells with a solo shot (all with none out) to put the Jays up 5-0 after 1.

Seriously, can we get an explanation as to why only Sportsnet West is NOT showing Blue Jays games?

It's on TSN tonight.
The consensus in that Sportsnet is trying to weasel people into ordering the complete Sportsnet package, rather than just the one regional channel.

Yea, I was in shock when I saw it on at the gym.
But why is it only Sportsnet West being singled out? Or is it happening locally on Sportsnet Pacific?

Nope, I'm pretty sure SNPAC gets all of them.
Pretty bush league.

Roy Halladay press conference:
TORONTO—Immediately after pitching a complete game shutout for his league-leading 10th win Sunday, Blue Jays ace Roy "Doc" Halladay retired to the Rogers Centre press room to take questions from the complete lack of reporters in attendance. "I feel pretty good right now, and I want to keep that going," said Halladay, directing his comments toward a stack of folding chairs that had not even been set out. "Doc, do you feel that your amazing start has been flying completely under the radar?" asked Halladay in a deep voice somewhat resembling that of Toronto Star columnist Richard Griffin, before responding that he expected no accolades for his 43 career complete games, 141 career wins, 1,375 career strikeouts, 2003 Cy Young award, or incredible durability. Halladay, upon asking and therefore receiving no further questions, stood up, looked around the room for a long moment, and slowly walked back to the clubhouse.

Interesting comparison between center field camera angles and how they can distort what the viewer thinks of a pitch:

I really don't get League. It's like he's Billy Kock v.2.0 where despite being able to bring the heat, major league hitters touch him up every time.

Romero is no-hitting the Phillies through 6.
Thanks again Sportsnet, for not broadcasting this in the West Region. I have absolutely no desire to watch a no hit bid.
edit: as I type, Utley singles. No hitter over.
