Default Been to Vegas?

The coolest thing ever happened to me this week. After reconnecting with 3 co-workers from a long time ago, in another province, we all decided it would be fun to get together. Well, I just assumed we meant 'some day'. So I get home from work last week, go on Facebook, and our trip is booked. The cool thing is: the one girl has a time share that she could book in Vegas, so we ended up with a free condo for 4 nights, and another girl used her airmiles and bought us all tickets! So it's a free trip, kind of like winning a trip. We are going to "O'' at Bellagio, and we are thinking of going to David Copperfield. Has anyone seen him in Vegas? Cher is another option but I'm not much of a Cher fan, but some say her show is really good. Anyone with good suggestions? Also, do you know of good places to eat that aren't expensive, but serve a good steak and some seafood? Thanks in advance. p.s. Buzzard's a little jealous that I got a free trip and he didn't get invited, but I'll buy him a t-shirt!!!

I highly recommend the hypnotist at the Tropicana (even if it does smell like a hamster cage) solely for the $25 all you can drink wrist bands.

"O" is fantastic! Its all based on a water theme and I was totally entertained throughout. There is something in Vegas for everyone. I enjoyed looking at the Architecture and miniatures of things like the Eiffel Tower and such.

Go to Hogs and Heffers downtown (old strip area). This place is the "real" coyote ugly, only with more whiskey, and less bras.

I'm in Vegas right now - staying at Caesars. Went to 'O' last night and thought it was pretty cool - those performers put on a good show. Going to see Jay Leno tomorrow night at the Mirage.

So I now have one of those 'I saw this famous person' stories. We went to the Larry King show at the Wynn tonight - he was doing a 'stand up' show on a dare from Steve Wynn. His part of the show was pretty good, he told a bunch of childhood & early career stories. He's a pretty engaging guy so it went over pretty well. So at the end of the show he acknowledges a few people in the crowd including Wynn who is sitting near us. As I'm thinking thats kinda cool he says hi to Warren Buffet. Turns out I was sitting in front of one of the richest individuals on the planet! Didn't get any investment advice as he walked past us but I thought it was neat none the less.

Last year a group of about 10 of us went to David Copperfield. I enjoyed it. The other 9 hated it. Take that for what you will.

Vegas is always fun. Been there about 10 times and scheduled to go experience the 4th of July there in a couple weeks. Every trip is different, like it or not. There is just so much variety of things to do that even if you try to do the same things that were fun last time, you'll end up doing something completely new.

...went to La Reve (at the Wynn) in March. Had planned to see Danny Gans (RIP) at Encore, but got there to find he didn't do shows on Sunday nights, and ended up going to La Reve.

...I thought it would be totally gay, but turns out it was awesome. Totally recommend it.

I heard O is good...the one at MGM (called "Ka" or something) apparently sucks.

Gambling is the second most common reason people go the Vegas..., the first being of course, to cheat on your spouse.

I cant recommend the RIO enough for their buffet. It is by far the best in LV.
They also have a complete seafood buffet in the resort.
O is an outstanding Cirque show. I didnt like the Beatles Love. to me, it just wasnt a very good show.
We've been to Vegas about 20 times now. My wife likes going shopping at the Premier Outlet Mall on Charleston. She says she buys her entire years wardrobe their. I have been myself and they have all the major brand names their at a fraction of the cost of going to a regular store.
Make sure to check out Freemont at night. Its the old strip and still very cool.
Enjoy.

Yeah, I went their last year. I was wearing a red team Canada golf shirt - and was the only guy wearing something other than black. Apparently the beer-pong tournament had been running all night, and holy @%$# can that bar staff drink!

Why not? The gals hop up on the bar and dance. You may not want to be wearing a bra you are particularly attached to.
