I'm pretty sure in any case that requiring, or even asking for a photo is a huge no-no. I don't think Alberta Employment Standards would be particularly happy considering that asking the age of an employee is against the law, I would imagine requiring a photo is as well.

The old one is a lot more mysogynistic. The old one is that you could only beat a (your) woman with a stick if it was no thicker than your thumb.
