That's usually what happens when you put out on the first date. I've got a female friend like that. She can't understand why she can't get a boyfriend. Yet every time she has a date, she pounds him the first night. Then he never calls her again, until he's like drunk at the club at 1am or something. I've told her time and again not to do it, but she keeps doing it. I have no sympathy for her anymore.
You're right. Men are rewarded for being sexual where women are seen as desperate. I guess because women often think they can use sex to obtain a relationship. The promise or allure of sex could help though. Do you think it ail ever change ? I don't feel sorry for women who flaunt or discuss their sexuality constantly , and wonder why guys don't take them seriously. When a woman says Oh I'm practically a nympho, why don't men like me? Well they probably suspect you'll be a nympho with anybody. Perhaps Sherri Arlov's book "Why Men Love Bitches" is the female equivalent of The Game. "Bitch" is used tongue in cheek . It's basically about having self respect and boundaries and developing your own life.Would be a good book for your friend . Unfortunately society doesn't give women the same sexual latitude it gives men. But if you want a relationshp, that's the hand we're dealt.
To the female CP'ers........Men don't like pushovers anymore than women do. A woman who agrees with everything and does everything possible just to please a guy (and they are out there) quickly falls into a guy's low priority list. It's happened to me numerous times, and I know other guys who feel the same way.
Even worse is when she's completely whipped over the guy after he treats her like poo, and she keeps going back for more because of some false hope that he'll completely reform himself - and in return, she'll do or say anything to make it happen.
Guys like to know they've earned what they have; a guy will treat a girl with much more respect once they know she didn't bend over backwards for him. The fact that she's slotted him into her schedule after doing the mate dance for hours is actually quite a rewarding feeling.

Not exactly on topic, but as a result of the post on page 3 I wiki'd Mad Men and got stuck in a wiki vortex which went from Mad Men, to cable network history, back to Mad Men, to Christina Hendricks, then back to Mad Men again, then to Frank O'Hara and finally to the New York School artists.

If a woman sleeps around with a whole bunch of men, she could get pregnant, not know who the father is, have to spend the next 9 months waddling around and then spend the next 18 years looking after her offspring. For a guy, the only consequences for those same actions are financial.

I think the bolded part is the result of the woman being attracted to the man, and having low self esteem. Deep down they dont believe they deserve to be treated well........
What I hate is when a woman smothers me by making me the center of her world.................that puts alot of pressure on me and I get tired of it quick.

I'd like to add that, as per the Jim Jefferies special on HBO that I just watched, being a stud is HARD. You have to look nice, dress nice, be cool around women, be suave etc. Being a slut is EASY. You just have to stand there and the rest will take care of itself.

You're going way more than biological there. A woman who is unable to have children would still be stigmatized. A wealthy woman who doesn't need money would still be stigmatized.But all that is a carry over from the traditional set iup of a wman needing to depend upon a man financially...or to guard the cave against predators.

I think women's sexuality and image here is guarded because of the religious foundations of North America.

When I was at the top of my arse getting career, women would just fall onto my lap...I would go to the bar, have a few beers and end up with someone at the end of the night, didn't even have to try. THEN...I had a six month relationship and I lost my game. Don't know what happened...but things don't just happen anymore for me. Maybe I was turned into a nice guy.
I think generally, people want to be around interesting people and don't want to be around people who have no opinion, no backbone etc.
Hopefully, CPers who don't have a lot of luck don't take this thread with an act of faith thinking being a jerk = getting laid, or else there's going to be a lot of jerks who are single as well... but there are probably better guys here to give dating advice, so I'm going to shut up now.
(I find Gretchen in Prison Break, and Deb Morgan in Dexter hot just cause of their sort of bitchy personality... I've gone out on dates with girls that were hot before, but there were boring enough that they never got a call for a 2nd date... I kind of like a girl to be a little bitchy...)
