Actually the Flames had 2 second round picks that year where they could have had Weber...they traded away the second pick in that round for a hodge podge of guys that are no longer in the system (Jaimie Tardiff, Ryan Donally, Tyler Johnson IIRC). Than again Nashville also took Kevin Klein, and Konstantin Glazachev ahead of Weber. I remember the guy I wanted at the time was O'Sullivan because he was a guy who looked like he could score some and the Flames sorely lacked that in those days. At least the Flames still have a warm body out of that pick.
