Default I love it when a remake comes together... The A Team movie!

Of all the tv show remakes for the big screen, The A Team is the one I've wanted the most. While it seems pretty lame when I watch the reruns these days, it was one of my favourite shows as a kid.

Anyway, lots of rumours about who is being cast for the remake with the most recent ones being Liam Neeson for Hannibal and Bradley Cooper for Face. There's also been speculation that Chris Pine would be Murdoch and Common as BA.

I don't know much about Common but the others all seem like they could be fine choices. Watching Neeson in Taken makes me think he'd do a great job as Hannibal. I'm not sure about Pine as Murdoch, but I'd be grateful if they don't get Jim Carrey, or someone else who couldn't legitimately hold their own in a fight, to do it.

Only thing I know about the A team I learned from numerous Family Guy episodes.

What was Mr T's character? I think Dwayne Johnson would make an excellent one of those. Can you smell it?

Anybody else used to watch The A Team (Calgary band from the 90s)? I'm a Truck was some fine work. And Dancing Cops (not sure if that was the name) was always fun.

This is going to be worse then the Miami Vice remake where they went out of their way to make it dark and cool.

The A team was great because it didn't take itself seriously. Watch them make the movie a dead serious story of a bunch of angry Gulf War vets. Watch Mr T. become a certified pilot who loves to fly but lost his license. Watch Hannibal become a tormented unit commander suffering from his past sins where he shot a kid in Iraq. Watch Face become a deadly sniper and killing machine and Murdoch suffers from a morphine addiction due to field surgery.

Mr T was BA and I don't think The Rock would be a good fit for that role. He's too suave to play BA.

I hate how tv execs are trying to feed off nostalgia by bringing back the 80's. It just doesn't work folks, this will Miami Vice suck I'm sure.

I don't think it will Miami Vice suck at all. Miami Vice was a show that was dependent upon its era and relied on its cool factor.

The A Team is a show with a timeless appeal. Four good guys, who are on the wrong side of the law, help fight evil. The show was all about its clearly defined characters and their interactions with each other.

I think the public is holding out for a Mama's Family remake.

Mr. T = B.A. Barracus

And I think they should just let Mr. T play B.A.. So what if he's in his mid-50s. And it will stop him from embarassing himself in more infomercials.....
