i hope theres something else to this game, not just fighting and scrums

like at least some new thing, or a whole bunch of small things like scrums, pinning, goalie animations, etc.

I think we should get 360 degree control over the deking, like FIFA is getting in 10.

It's about time they gave some meaning to checking/grinding - otherwise the 3rd and 4th lines were never really needed.

True. But they need to incorporate a system that sees the home team's ability to see what opponent line is being put on the ice so you can do match-ups and actually use home-ice advantage with last line changes. So you can put your skilled guys out vs their grinders or put your grinders out to destroy their stars.

I saw in one of the video blogs that there will be line matching. At least I think I remember seeing that

I've had to change my style from Robyn Regehr to Nik Lidstrom.

Really looking forward to going back to Regehr style.

I am getting very excited for this game.

This is a confirmed feature for the NHL 10.

you know what looks sweet is that it looks like for playoffs they change the ice just inside the blue lines

only thing that bugs me is how that one player gets stuck behind the net and just watches, it happens a lot and its really annoying

I haven't read a whole lot, so forgive me if these gripes have already been addressed. Let me know if they have.

-the sure goal empty netter for the opponent. I don't even pull my goalie anymore.
-CPU should take more timeouts, and announcers should mention this happened. A TO graphic of the benches would be sort of nice too.
-more major penalties, and real game misconducts for things like hitting from behind.

What sure goal empty netter? I have occasionally had success pulling my goalie.

I just feel that if the CPU gets the puck and fires at the net from anywhere past centre, it's a sure goal. They never seem to miss.

Yup, and they are adding the C of Red this year as well!

In the boardplay video, I really like the ability of kick passing. In NHL 09, a single stick lift was all it took to get the puck often. Now it won't be that simple!

I hope they spend some time on the announcers. There is nothing worse than playing a game and hearing the same few lines over and over.
