Tsunami warning for same area just issued

A major earthquake og the coats of thailand, 7.2, was recorded a few minutes ago.

Cant imagine the panic and fear the folks in that region must be experiencing.

Thoughts and prayers to them all.

I have friends staying in Koh Phi Phi right now (the second worst area hit in Thailand last time). People are pretty aware of the threat and assuming they have just a little bit of warning they should be fine. It is having that warning, any warning, that is so important.

I am glad that Thailand is taking the threat more seriously then the first time around when they were more worried about tourism $$'s then safety....
