More specifically, we are still looking for gently (or not so gently) used... crib, carseat (bucket seat), high chair, changing table, playpen, electric baby swing, and any other items you have and think that we might need.

We're looking for a bucket seat that isn't much older than 5 years and has definitely not been in any car accidents. We would prefer a crib that doesn't have a drop side and is white in colour (or natural wood) but we're not totally tied to colour. Other than that, I don't think we have a lot of specific criteria.

I'm trying the garage sale and Kijiji thing, but am having limited success finding some of these "bigger" ticket items.

Try Once upon a child on Macleod Tr. That's where I bought a second hand changing table for $60. The only thing on your list that I haven't seen there is a car seat. Their inventory changes daily, so it's best if you pop in a couple of times a week.
I'll keep an eye out for you as well.

I don't think you'll find a carseat at a used place...too many liability issues.

You may want to add a baby monitor (we got a good deal on a Phillips one on ebay) and a Diaper Dekor/Genie to your list

Just so you know... I believe its actually illegal to be using a car seat that is older than 5 years. If pulled over by the police at checkstop they check to see if car seats are installed properly. If they see the car seat is older than 5 years I believe you can get some big fines. When we left the hospital with our twins they wouldnt even let us take the kids until they verified age of the seats.

If you end up in the Strathmore are let me know. We have tons of toys, exer-saucers, and various items we are going to put in a garage sale soon. Our twins are just over a year now so are growing out of alot of things. If your in the area you can stop and take a look if ya want.

I do know it's difficult to buy used car seats due to liability issues. Stores like Once Upon a Child don't sell them I believe for that reason. I'm going to keep looking for one from a trustworthy source though, because to buy a new baby bucket seat is $200, and then a new seat for a baby over 32lbs is another $200 - $300.

I believe the age limit on seats is 10 years? I will look into that though!

Not sure if you have a use for it yet, but I have one of these wagons that my neighbour had asked me to take to the dump. I cleaned it up and it seems to work fine.

If you are still in need of stuff, my daughter is looking to sell all her baby furniture, clothes, etc. etc.... Everything must go.

They have a 5 month old (so that is how long it has been used) and they are moving overseas within weeks.

I've got a two-year old crib from Kacz Kids that you can have for $75. It's in great shape, Originally over $400. I tried to sell it here a couple of months ago but got no interest.

It's not white or natural, it's kind of a medium to dark brown with reddish tones. Not as red as cherry wood. It does have a dropside, but it's a high quality crib and we never had any issues whatsoever and it is not a design that's going to let a child knock the rail down.

It has a slide-out storage drawer as well.

It's currently disassembled as we had to get it out of my son's room and don't have a lot storage.

Our son goes here for playschool, and my wife noticed they are having a garage give away (free stuff). She noted there were quite a few baby things, ie. 10+ of car seats, strollers... etc. I'm sure there will be line ups and such, but might be of interest.

I have an electric baby swing you can have for a nominal amount.

When do you need that car seat by? My second one is just about done with it. It's 2.5 years old.
