That picture is clearly caused by a lack of fashion sense not knowledge of it. I would argue it's people who don't konw what a good pair of jeans are who look like that...

Watched a show about Provence the other day.
Did you know denim originates from Nimes Frances? Literally, de Nimes = denim.

Trying to look good? Laff. Completely without basis... unless, of course, you know these posters you're referring to.
As some one mentioned already, people have tastes for different things in life. That's just how it is.
For example, I personally don't have much enthusiasm for watches... but I do have some friends who are crazy watch fanatics and spend a crazy dollar amount on a single watch... when they already have more than a few at home. Who am I to judge though? I'm good with owning one watch that I only wear when I'm at work or in a suit. What the hell do I need a watch for? With all the cell phones, Crackberries, etc. having a watch, to me is unnecessary.... but I don't sit here and judge them for spending thousands on a watch.
Different strokes for different folks.

Can anyone here tell me any stores in Calgary (online could work if the rates are crazy delicious or cheap) that I can get jeans? Preferrably I want cheap skinny jeans, the brand does not matter at all, as long as they aren't cardboard or something. And also any stores that sell different colours, like this:
http://www.uniqlo.co.uk/catalogue/me...it-color-jeans
i would totally buy those except theyre in the UK :/
Problem is stores that have ads are way too expensive, when I know that I won't wear their jeans for that long, and anytime i find a good cheap pair, the store has like 1 model of jeans I like, and they are always all the exact same size and colour, so I won't get 10 pairs of the same style/model
any help or tips is appreciated

Some of the jean styles these days, I tell ya... Seriously, what's with the beltline being below the ass? WTF? Is that a joke? How is that comfortable? What is the purpose? To look gangsta? How are you gonna run from the fuzz if your f'n jeans are around your ankles?

Cargos are great! Those extra pockets come in handy for smuggling stuff into NHL games.

Those thin lowrider "emo" jeans are the worst things ever. I was lookin for a pair of jeans a couple months ago and went into Bootlegger to try on some pairs. I didn't realize I had accidentally grabbed an emo pair because when I got in the changeroom I couldn't even get them past my knees, and they were my size too. Tight as hell on your legs but lowrider in the ass, aren't those two conflicting ideas?
btw for the record, I've never paid more than $60 for a pair of jeans.

You could try RA Clothing on 17th ave. They've always got a great selection of jeans (usually in the $200 - $300 range). Expensive, but the jeans look great and last just about forever. I'd much rather pick up a pair of those than pay $60 for so-so jeans that don't last.

+1...... i feel the same way , if you havent already sparks you should check out the denim fanatic thread here...... but just for the record you can find those $200-$300 dollar jeans for a lot cheaper if you look.... i got a pair of 250 dollar Diesels from Urban in the eaton centre for 105$ before.....

lol ^ i go for the $20 range lol
wow and some of yous guyses fail at knowing stuff, do you guys even know what emos are? or do you just classify anybody who doesn't wear boot-cuts like you as being depressed and suicidal. And there diff types of skinny jeans, those skin tight ones are too tight for me, but it doesn't mean youre emo (but if you insist to call those who wear em emo, then go ahead, I'm sure that they will stop wearing them instantenously). Whatev's you like, you can wear, I like skinny jeans cuz of the way they fit, look, and how they don't fly around if there is a slight gust. I actually am surprised that you guys all made fun of the jeans I like, since most poeple (like 70%) that I see (guys and girls) wear skinny or slim fit jeans.
Anyhoo, here are some things most of you probably didn't know:
These are not exactly the same thing
And the kids who dye their hair crazy colours, or even black and grow it really long aren't usually emo but rather SCENE, thats right theres words for those people believe it or not. So next time those youngin's upset you with their inappropriate styles and flashy clothing, be sure to yell at them " HEy you damn scene kids, stop being so hweird" to make sure that they know that you DONT approve.
oh and BTW im not scene, and I don;t have crazy hair (although that would be preety cool)
