Almost anything in this thread is better than "Heat".
Why not "Backdraft", as the team will be stocked with picks and prospects?
"Heat" is taken, boring, singular (a pet peeve), and doesn't evoke anything visual.
Bad, bad, bad.

isn't backdraft singular? And the word backdraft sounds like a fart to me

I was totally joking with "Backdraft", but forgot to add a smiley. And yeah, it sounds like a fart.

I AM concerned about the impact of an AHL team on the Chilliwack Bruins. The Bruins are NOT a good team, draw a lot of fans from Abbotsford, and the novelty has worn off, whereas the Heat will play a higher level of hockey and have a buzz for the next couple of seasons.

Are there enough fans to around?

The original Atlanta Flames logo should be the Abbotsford logo. The QC looked good, but this will look better,

Most people in Canuckleland seem to be hating on the Heat right now. They all say they would only attend during Manitoba Moose games...but hey - at least those will be sellouts
