lanny … and the nominees are

I figured I would do this in a two step process, rather then releasing the award winners I’ve decided to release the names of the top 3 vote getters for each category…. If for no other reason other then to get the hopes up for the two loosing teams.

Nominees are listed alphabetical to not give away the winner

Last but not least, we currently have a tie for one of the awards. We may have to decide on a tie breaker. I could PM the votes that voted for neither of the top three and ask for a “A” or “B” vote? I’ll wait for direction

So here they are

Best CPHL GM Award voted on by all GMs

An annual award "to the defenceman" who demonstrates throughout the season the greatest all-round ability in the position as voted by the general managers of all CPHL clubs.

Best CPHL goon award is voted on by all GMs...combo of toughness and PIM.

Most underrated CPHL player voted on by all CPHL clubs.

Best Message Board poster award as voted on by all CPHL clubs.

An annual award given to the goalkeeper adjudged to be the best at this position as voted by the general managers of all CPHL clubs.

An annual award given to the player judged to be the most valuable to his team as voted by the general managers of all CPHL clubs.

An annual award given to the player selected as the most proficient in his first year of competition in the CPHL as voted by the general managers of all CPHL clubs.

An annual award given to the player selected as the least effective player in the CPHL as voted by the general managers of all CPHL clubs.

An annual award given to the player selected as the most overpaid player in the CPHL as voted by the general managers of all CPHL clubs.

An annual award given to the GM selected as the best 1st year GM as voted by the general managers of all CPHL clubs.

An annual award given to the coach selected to be the best CPHL coach of the regular season as voted by the general managers of all CPHL clubs.

An annual award given to the GM selected as the GM who made the worst deal(s) as voted by the general managers of all CPHL clubs.

1st and 2nd Team All-Stars will be released with the award winners. If I listed the 2nd Team All Stars now it would give away the major award winners

looks awesome. Is it bad that 2 Flyers got voted for the Turek?

Looking forward to the winners, will it be one winner revealing a day?

Also the logos look great under the McGrath!

Nice job man.
Glad to see that I am up for 2 awards, best rookie GM and worst trade. Not sure the worst trade nod helps me take the best rookie GM though. I just have to say that if I win the Riseborough award, all my trades had to go through the league higher ups so it is their fault as much as mine, unless I win money for my team then it is all me.........

Tough room
Is it me or does anyone else find it strange that Henrik Lundqvist who had the top GAA on 2.70, 4th in Save % with .896 and 2nd in games played of the top 10 goalies and a Lanny McDonald candidate as MVP but yet didn’t make the cut as the top 3 in goalies for the Vernon Award.

Where’s the love?
Petr Prucha a 73ov rated player for the Canucks lead the team in scoring with 72 points, but the amazing thing is that he was ahead on the next person by 18 points and no recognition for the Priaken as under-rated and Lanny McDonald as MVP

The Magic Man does his magic?
Thrashers rookie sensation Robert Nilsson who lead all rookies in scoring is basking in the limelight with other rookie standouts Erik Johnson and Nicklas Backstrom. With all the fame and notoriety that the Makarov Award attracts Nilsson was still able to slide under the radar and find his way as one of the 3 most under-rated players in the CPHL for the Priakin Award.

Riseborough wasn’t so bad…. was he?
With all the slumped shoulders and hanging heads that this awards brings, I really wonder to myself… why so down, it’s free cap. I worked like a madman and took a page right out of Mike Milbury page of managing and I still could steal away this free handout...

Great job Doug. Looks like the Habs of reality are mirroring the Habs of the CPHL, no nominations.

Yea I was suprised to see that as well. It's great that he's up for the MVP but can't believe he didn't get enough votes to crack the top 3 goalies. Leafs have a few guys in the running but for some of the tougher awards. Anyway great job with the awards.
