it ain't abooot hatred. It is about how lost YOU are. Simple estimations

Out of a hat. You can not through assumptions out there and call it fact. That is called stupidity.

Way to ignore the obvious.
Beyond obvious.
How much does it cost a plane to land at a NY terminal?
How much does it cost to have the SS scout in advance?
How much for the polic escort etc...?
How much to have the limo in advance?
I will stop there because that that is easily 1 million dollars.

No, it is NOT beyond obvious. In fact this is pointless conjecture...

Dude. It was an easy estimation. 1 to 2 million dollars for a one night out on the town during a recession.
Prove me wrong if you can. How much does it cost to land a plane at Calgary? 100K?

Wow you must not know what other Presidents do. They spent every dollar the country gets and nobody doesn't get a penny of it.
Obama's definitely allowed a night out. The media shouldn't even need to report it cause it's none of their business.

I don't see an issue here.
Then again, I didn't see an issue with Bush continuing to read the goat book to kids after being told about the early events of 9/11.
It works both ways folks. Well...it should.

Ignore what?
You haven't posted any links to support the breakdown of your supposed costs.

I don't have to prove anything. You made the statement regarding costs and have shown us no proof. Put up or shut up!

Well then it is obviously $10 and 50 cents. Cheap night out in NY city.
Do I really need to link the obvious for you? I thought I was conservative in my cost analysis. If I am way off. Prove me wrong. Save me the "give me the link or I am turning off my brain line".
That was a grand (almost Chretien) waste of money.

Obvious?
You speak like you are the accountant doing the billing for these charges. YOUR estimate is $1-2M (which is quite a gap) however you can't spew it off like fact when you don't know!
Find me some hard evidence with links from good sources and no FOX News does not count. If you can't provide that just admit you have no idea and you just want to make Obama look bad because your guy didn't get voted in.
So basically if he were to do this in DC it would have cost $125,000 difference with the plane and landing fee. Otherwise the rest of it applies if he goes to see a Nationals game down the street!

Obama does less damage when he's dinning out so I say he goes out and has fun every night for the next 4 years.
It costs the taxpayers less than when he's "working."

You're the one making the claim. The onus is on you to support that claim with independently-verifiable facts, not your own conjecture.

Ahh a HOZ posting....
Obama didn't take the usual 747, instead opting for a variety of smaller Gulfstream Aircraft.
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/new...cle6399880.ece
You assume a Raptor escort. Why not assume it was a couple of National Guard F-16's on standard combat air patrol that would have been up anyways post 9/11?
Truth is - they could have gone to a Starbucks for a coffee date and it'd have required a massive Secret service escort. Was there extra costs incurred yes, but as someone pointed out, every President has racked up costs travelling to their getaways of choice - Crawford Ranch, Rancho del Cielo.

Even if it was $1M, I think the president of the United States should be allowed to take his wife to a Broadway show. Yes, the associated costs of transportation and security are required, but it's a GD EVENING ON BROADWAY.
Again, why can Bush fly back and forth between Washington and the Camp David Airport 149 and no threads about wasting money, but Obama is not allowed a night out with his wife?
Bullsh*t thread.

Dude...
It cost 365,000 dollars just to fly the president's plane past the Statue of Liberty...without landing.
How obtuse can you be?
