I don't know a lot about MainFlame or Calgary Flames but I definitely don't get in long drawn out debates about hockey the way Lanny could. In fact I'd bet of my 3500 posts or so 2000 are in the OT forum and 1500 of those are in the Random Thoughts threads.

First time I ever got drunk was off Mike's Hard Lemonade (which coincidentally Mike is my real name). Hardly drank a cooler since then. Nothing but beer for me. Had quite a few Big Rock Trads and Honey Browns in the last 2 days. Vodka occasionally if I'm pre-drinking before a Flames game or something and Scotch when I have $$ but hard liquor brings out the Irish houligan in me so I try to avoid it at all costs.

Really funny story about flip.

I was at the Anaheim afternoon game last season with my girlfriend. It was her first ever game so we just stayed for like a half hour in our seats after the game, soaking in the atmosphere (coincidentally: flip's seats). So we're slowly making our way to the c-train station, and like one of the last ppl left in the dome, and we get outside to the +15 and lo and behold there's flip, being steadied by two of his buddies, and hes hollering at the top of his lungs "LETS GO RIDERS" over and over. I went right by him and was going to like chat him up, till I realized he was so drunk he didn't recognize me.

I know flip cause I buy some of his tickets, but as for my girlfriend she only knows him as the LETS GO RIDERS guy...talk about first impressions, it was hilarious.

Sorry dude but I was totally NOT at that game. I assure you that could be any number of Riders/Flames fans that got that drunk. I can also assure you that I've been that drunk before at a Flames game but unfortunately I very rarely go with more than one person to a game so even if it wasn't Anaheim that probably wasn't me. In fact I think I worked that day because I don't even remember watching that game.

A similar story to that has occurred but it was for a preseason game a few years ago against Vancouver. We snuck in a 26 each and I ended up falling over a few rows of seats in front of me, luckily they were empty. My cousin and I chanted "let's go Riders" the whole train ride home. It was a messy, messy evening. I believe we also started a Naslund swallows chant too.

Like I said, that story sounds like it could be me but I just double checked and I definitely didn't go to that game. I was at the Sabres game on the 28th and the Mtl game on the 9th but not the game against the ducks. I've never seen an afternoon game I don't think. Proof of this can be found in the fact that I repeatedly posted about my 9 game winning streak at the dome and we lost to the Ducks that day. The Sabres and Canadiens games were both in the middle of the streak.
