What is the cutoff for trades being considered? From last year's offseason to the end of the season?

cue the Devils - Hurricanes deal.... half a team for a prospect
I'll look it up later, I think I have one with the Flyers as well. I had my A game going this year

I hate putting out any nominations for this because each team has their reasons for making trades. Unfortunately this one really stuck out in my mind (sorry Mango):
 To Canucks:

 Antero Nittymaki
 Dainius Zubrus
 Paul Mara

 To Penguins:

1st Rnd, 3rd Overall pick in 2008 draft (Drew Doughty)
1st Rnd, 6th Overall pick in 2008 draft (Mikkel Boedker)
 2nd Rnd (WAS) 2009 draft

My own worst deal would be trading Steve Mason for Kris Letang. Although Letang is a good player but trading Mason for him was BAD!

I made a few of bad ones.
Zetterberg and Andrew Ebbet for Cammalleri and Bieksa.

Erat, Perry, and Filipulla for Rick Nash, Okposo, and Burrows.

 T.J. Oshie and a Chi 1st 08 for Cody Hodgson and a 2nd in 2009.

I would love to have all of those back now for sure after failure.

There is also one where Columbus traded Brad Richards that I didn't like as the former CBJ GM. I also didn't care for the Jonas Hiller for Toivonen swap that the two teams made.

I'm a little surprised you regret making this trade; the Burrows part was kind of random as I don't think either of us expected his type of goal scoring prowess (I moved him immediately afterwards as well). This trade was the big shakeup to your core, and it was that core which got you to the cup finals.

That's fine - I certainly won't deny it by any means.

That's not a bad deal for depth for him with the way Fehr finally showed up after I traded him.
Fehr, Eric (LW)Mclean, Brett (C)Campoli, Chris (D)2009 2nd Round Draft Choice (atl)2009 2nd Round Draft Choice (chi)
 Richards, Brad (C)

Not bad but I hated Getz and didn't keep him long.

To the Wild:
Hemsky, Ales (LW)Zubrus, Dainius (RW)Kovalchuk, Ilya (RW)
 To the Coyotes:
Heatley, Dany (RW)Sturm, Marco (LW)Getzlaf, Ryan (C)Bourque, Rene (RW)2006 5th Round Draft Choice (cmb)

That deal seems pretty even but Ilya was horrible for me. Just terrible.

That deal didn't happen this year, I traded Heatley to the Ducks, which he still resides. Before that Heatley's been a Hurricanes since the beginning of the 2006-07 season
