Yes it would open many loopholes.
The pick is currently a wildcard with option to re-pick.

Whilst I agree with everything you said... I have a situation that's more complex.
Girl is living in Canada, can't find birthplace. GirlySports has agreed via PM that she is elligible for Canadian (we'd assume that since one can't prove otherwise and it's the most logical assumption). I'm willing to pick her before any of my other geography-based selections so that if any of you can find her birthplace she can be shifted to the appropriate category, but I'd like to retain my wildcard for someone else (strategic reasons I can't really get into). Whilst the commissioner's ruling should be sufficient to allow me to draft her as a Canadian, in the interests of good sportsmanship, I'm making this disclosure to you now. Would you accept her as Canadian if nobody can prove otherwise?

I did mention that if you couldn't find birthplace she might not be famous enough. But I've seen her in magazines so she's pretty famous.
Funny how we can't find a birthplace.. i'll have to investigate some more.

if somebody finds otherwise then its not valid
if no one can prove shes not canadian, then who's to say she isn't?

Hmm... if you really think it's worth the effort to keep trying to find it, it would probably be easiest for me to just call her agent and see if he'll tell me.

Sure go for it! Tell him it's for the Hottie Draft II. Bring CP some exposure hehe.

In the last draft I sent a message to the woman on facebook to confirm I had the right name and birthplace.
Creepy? Yes.... Stalkerish? No (Because I didn't go further, lol)

Well, sent an email (saves me from having to catch him in business hours). We'll see how it goes. I told him I'd be getting her some exposure.

For Round 7, Chicka-Chicka-Yeah! fills its WILDCARD category with
Summer Glau
Quote:
Summer Glau is best known for her role in the cult followed Serenity. Hey, if nerds think she's hot, then she's hot. More recently, she has been starring in Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. She is a "protector Terminator" named Cameron - an intelligent machine from the future assigned to protect John Connor (Sarah's son) from assassination by The Skynet's cyborg machines. Whatever. She's probably be the cutest heat packing ass-kicking robot ever.
Awards
Glau was voted Best Actress of 2005 by readers of SFX magazine and received a 2005 Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in Serenity[10]. She was also runner up for Best Actress/Movie in the SyFy Genre Awards for 2006.[11]
In 2008, she received the Best Supporting Television Actress award at the 34th Saturn Awards for her performance as Cameron Phillips in Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, [12] and was nominated for the Spike TV Scream Awards in the category Best Actress in a Science Fiction Movie or TV Show for the same role.[13]

Another pick with "geek cred" for our team.
ETA: Aeneas will be in his bunk.

Nice one.
Was expecting her to be chosen soon as her show just got cancelled and she's been mentioned alot in off-topic.
Saturn Award doesn't count so it'll have to be a wildcard.

Yeah, I was kinda surprised when I realized she hadn't been taken in either draft so far.
I figured I would take a shot at using the Award category, even though I knew the defined awards you listed in the rules. Edited post to change category to Wildcard.
