Meh I don't really care unless the car rattles a bunch. I had my moment of weakness when I put 2 Alpine 12's in the back of my B4000 a few years back. That thing could pound. Now, I have a decent enough stock system in my car that I don't feel the need to get rid of a bunch of trunk space.

It's a very rare time nowadays that I crank the tunes. The odd trip home from work or cruising with friends it gets turned to eleven, but pretty well never when I'm alone.

I don't really care if other people have their music cranked. I just shake my head and laugh if the tunes suck, or if the car is a piece of crap.

While sitting out on the deck of the local brewpub a few years ago, we saw a very nice Chevelle SS turning the corner and coming toward us. As it passed, we hear "Cuz I'm Your Laaaaaady" from Celine Dion blaring out of the windows. It was definitely a WTF moment...

You don't see it that much these days, about 10 years ago it was all about the techno and fartpipe's (on the exhaust). Luckily that stuff has died down.

I thought it was cool to be able to hear your car vibrate from outside?

I dont mind the loud tunes, but if you're going to do it, make sure you have a nice car and a nice system.

Nothing worse than a guy cruising 17th in a Mazda 3, blasting his stock stereo.

I'll admit i've been known to blast my music, but, never at night, and only when the song warrants it. I personally can't stand rap/rb, techno etc...so, when i hear that blasted, it annoys me....but thats only b/c i think that music is ######ed.

AC/DC, Ozzy, Bon Jovi, some wicked 80's tune, those to me are songs that deserve being blasted.

Today i blasted a little MJ on the way to sushi...it was extra awesome with the sunroof open.

I love finding people like you, because I follow you home, wait until your asleep, pour sugar in your gas tank, then pee all over your wind shield. Then for good measure I burn your house down, take your address book from the ashes and ruthlessly prank call your friends.

I get cranky when I get woken up by your music.

Billy Jean I'm guessing.

I'm not a fan of people doing this. Its kind of like, ok you can hear your music, but so can everyone else. It's not exactly to our taste you're obviously just doing it for attention. Check out the size of my sweet subwoofer, just please don't look at my crotch...

It would be nice if they kept that to themselves.

I almost hope that they turn it up a smidge too loud and their heads explode showering the inside of their car with masses of head fat and a surprising lack of brain matter.
Too true. I don't get that upset about it when I hear it. I just laugh at their choice of music, if they want to listen to garbage with 3 different notes in a 4:30 song, let them. If they want to play the worst music created in history (generic rap, generic rock)

Regardless I always have my music maxed, but then again I only use the standard speakers/system that came with a GM Cobalt, so it isn't that impressive, and surely won't shake any grounds.

I listen metal, and some times old stuff (AC/DC, etc), so I don't care what others think when I come up to a red light, let people listen to real music for a change, music that takes creativity.

If I'm listening to something that just freakin' rocks then I'm blasting it and I don't give a crap what anybody else thinks.

The formula of young men driving their cars down main street with loud music blaring has been successful with chicks since, probably, the 1930's.

Who knows why chicks diggit but . . . . . . . all of this has happened before and all of this will happen again.

You older chaps, those who were teenagers in the 60's and 70's, know its true.

1979...working the summer in Lethbridge...driving down Mayor McGrath Dr. in a 72 Camaro with flared fenders and blasting Boston on the 8 track....go to a burger joint...turn around and go downtown....rinse and repeat.

Those WERE the good old days.

I'll take 24 hours of La Cucuracha every day for the rest of my life if it meant good Mexican food up here.
