Let me repeat that. There is no difference between a person who a small tattoo and someone who is covered in them. Except that they have more ink on their skin.
Is there a big difference between someone who has short hair or long hair? What about skin color? A beard or no beard? Not a big difference. I think you might find that someone covered in tattoos MIGHT BE JUST LIKE SOMEONE with a small tattoo.
You're contradicting yourself. As you get older you are more open minded? Wow sure sounds like it, I would hate to see you 10 years ago.
Open up your mind a little bit and try not to judge someone based on a tattoo.
|
Hey...............being open-minded doesnt mean you have to like everything...........
I just dont care for tattoos...................get over it. I have friends that have tattoos and I dont make fun of them or anything, I just tell them it's not my scene.
It looks to me you are being defensive about it and are looking for some validation or something.

And those people pictured in post #166 look like complete tools to me. They are people I would most likely never associate myself with.

I agree that lots of those tattoo's are pretty bad, but I tend not to judge people based on their personal decisions. If I stopped associating with people who made personal choices that I didn't agree with then I'd have a pretty small circle of friend. I mean my neighbours painted their deck a dark tan color and their fence and trim are white and their house is yellow. Looks completely awful and out of place but we still BBQ with them.

Not at all. I agree you don't have to like everything, and you shouldn't be expected to. What you said above is exactly how I think people should react. If its not your scene, cool no need to comment or make judgments. There has just been a lot of stupid comments, thrown around this thread.
I can assure you I am not looking for validation.

I realize it was probably tongue in cheek.
Also my comments weren't necessarily directed at anyone in this particular thread.
Just a statement in general.

Well, you had my post quoted in the same post that you were saying this thread was hard to read and full of close-minded, red-neck, religious people, so I thought I better clarify.
Anyways... I think we can move on.

Aren't people with tattoos supposed to be major a-holes? You're being way too nice.
And what the hell is that dark mark supposed to mean?

Hey, I think I'm doing a pretty good jon of living up to my a-hole roots. I haven't joined the mafia yet, but I did once haul some prick's car out of my parking stall.

I can't wait until there's a bunch of 70 and 80 year old grandparents running around with a bunch of unidentifiable blotches of ink all over their bodies and nipple rings. It's going to be a hoot.

Yeah I wonder about those people who've put plugs in their earlobes...how could that possibly be a good idea?

I'm with you on that. I don't think it looks all that bad when they're in, but jesus christ it's pretty gross looking when you see someone that forgot to stick their nickles in their ears in the morning.

Well, even body piercings don't actually go away. So I think if you do the ear loops you need to have surgery to restore your earlobes back to a "hole-less" state if you want at a later time. I have a friend who did that, actually.
I had/have a couple piercings and I thought they would be "temporary". But they aren't - I still have a hole from the belly button ring and I doubt my nose ring hole will ever close up (though I still wear that piercing). I have a scar on my tongue but nobody ever sees that except my dentist.
After a certain period of time the body piercings do become permanent, just like piercing your ears.

I do find some piercings very hot (belly button + nose ring studs on girls) but not much else. I'm overall a very conservative minded guy, no taste for tats or rings. I can see how people like to have a small tattoo here or there but covering your entire body in ink... yuck.

Some girl came to my work for the past two days with about 9 piercings on her face, and a star tattoo above each breast, and damn was she hot. I would usually wouldn't care, but oddly I really want her to come again.
She was SUPER hot.
My point being you can't disguise true beauty. Although my dad would destroy me if he was me with her. LOL
By the way, I want this on my back some time down the line:
Just the guy on the bike and the bike, not the background stuff. And I want the number 3 tattooed somewhere on me.

I can just picture you asking for a 13 but getting a 31.

I hate the tattoo fad. I wont date girls with tattoos. Wont even give them a chance.
I am indifferent to tattoos on guys, but generally have an opinion on them as soon as I see them. First impressions people.

I'm down with the nose & belly-button piercings too. I'm also partial to the tongue piercing as well.
Tattoos on girls has never been my thing. I just don't like it on em(or tattoos in general for that matter). That's cool if some people find it attractive, everyone's different. It just doesn't do it for me though. I can deal with a smaller tattoo(though its never an improvement), but if a girl has some massive thing on her back, that's a huge turn-off for me. Put it this way, I can't even look at Biff Naked without feeling a little nauseous. Seriously.
