Almost outhit the Sox 2-1 this game, still lose. Not getting any longballs at the right time, oh well, tough sweep, move on to the next series.

Good wake up call for the Jays, Boston hit in the clutch in the series the Jays did not. I sure would like to see Jason Bay in a Jays uniform next season.

Snider's heading back to AAA - probably a good move to get him out of his slump.

The bubble had to burst some time. I hope this isn't the end of the Jays but with every passing day they seem less and less likely to be this years Rays.

Agreed, personally thought the Jays were making a really poor decision playing this kid only part of the time...

They either need to play him every day or send him down to AAA. Its way to tough for a 21 yr old kid to be scratched every second day or so.... I would bet part of that is the reason for his slump... He simply did not play enought to get out of his slump.

Will be interesting to see who gets called up.

Jays simply do not have the starting pitching to contend... The hitting is going to cool off sooner or later... Its a long year and guys like Hill and Lind who have carried this team are going to cool off...

Hopefully Wells can pick it up...

JP will need to decide does he add another starter or does he stay the course... As I would bet the Jays can not finish any better than 4th in their division with their current starters (with or without Litsch or Janssen or Romeo etc).

I doubt there is any chance that Marcum or McGowan will see any time this season.... Its too risky to rush these guys back...

However its still exciting to see them play so well.........

I anticipate he spends more time looking to see if he deals the Doc than looking for another starter. While he is at it he could bring in some more young talent in a deal for Wells.

Yep, thats the other issue... Will JP trade Doc or will he let he go I bet this decision willl be made by the ownership............

As for Wells the guy is un-trade-able with that Contract in my opinion. If he was going to move a fielder it would have to be Rios.

Yep that Wells deal is an albatross. It's an addition by subtraction so they should just take whatever they can get for him if they can indeed get anything at all.

I agree but it won't happen in my opinion as the Jays would have to agree to pay a large portion of the contract.... Simply has way to many years left to find any trade partner...

Jays will need to pray he can turn his game around.......

Geez we get swept once for the first time this year and people want to blow it up.

Jansen and Romero will be back soon and Cecil and Ray will be back in the minors. The Jays will have better pitching and I have a feeling they will still contend for the wildcard.

As per Doc lets see the next quarter and how it plays out before they drop a potential 30 game winner this year. That's right you heard me the guy could win 30 this year.

Good, can't believe Inglett wasn't here to begin with (though I didn't expect Bautista to make them team if Snider did)...now a Bautista/Inglett platoon in left with Lind getting the occasional start?

Glad to see Janssen get a chance at the rotatation and Romero get back up here. The talk last week of guys having to have 3 or 4 bad starts before losing their jobs was stupid when Romero proved himself over double the # of starts and Janssen was already a proven major leaguer, even if as a 'pen guy.

I figured Inglett might be the guy up in place of Schneider. Versatile guy who can play a lot of positions. No doubt the lack of experience in the pitching staff is going to be tough for the Jays to over come. I am interested to see how Janssen is, that was a tough injury so it's encouraging to see him get back to the bigs. I hope he is effective, would be nice to see.

I agree that Wells is untradable. In this economic era, there is no way anyone is going to want to assume that contract for a guy who'd be the 3rd best outfielder on any big spending team at best. Unless the Jays are willing to eat like 10-12 million of that salary they won't be able to move him.

seriously, it might not even be a bad idea to see if anyone would be even interested in Wells as a player. Then look to see how bad the damage will be for us to get rid of him. It really would be addition by subtraction.

Why does this thread read like a Flames Game thread? One bad series and the bubble has burst. Incredible.
