RIP Terminator SCC?
IMDB listed Terminator SCC as 2008-2009, seems like Fox axed the program
Although http://www.tvguide.com/News/Fall-TV-...e-1005618.aspx has it listed as a fair chance to be renewed for the upcoming TV season and reading IMDB seems like FOX is determining the upcoming lineup on Monday, hopefully we get a season 3.
With the way they ended season 2, the whole future plot with John being a no-name solider and searching for John Henry + Cameron's chip could make a pretty interesting season.

as far as i've seen, it's on the "endagered list" but hasn't been cancelled yet. Jebus, if they would take it out of the time slot of death (aka, anything on Friday) and put it on any time Mon thru Thurs - this show would do well, imo.
Just like Dollhouse....

What's teh general consensus on this show? Any good? They've released the first season on DVD, is this worth picking up at all?
I was always a huge terminator fan, although I thought the third movie was a little weak.

You'll probably enjoy the TV series, the second season IMO was by bar the better one

Yeah I'll have to crack and watch some of these episodes over the summer.
Heroes and Fringe have both jumped the shark for me, so I need something new in the lineup. A shame the series is done before I ever got into it.

I can't remember where I read this stuff, so take it with a grain of salt.
As I understand the situation, they sold this season to the network super cheap with additional considerations to promote the movie in the summer. They have 2 more movies slated for the next 4(?) years, but as I understand it the network is not willing to pay the full price for the next season given the crap ratings.
My guess is this is just posturing, with the producers trying to get as much as possible for the next season and the network trying to make sure they are still making money. Given the fact that there are more movies coming, it only makes sense to continue the discount to some degree which will allow it to continue to air.

It would be a disaster if the axed the show. It would be like Space: Above and beyond all over again. I hope to God they renew it, the finale was to good to just leave us hanging. Man, that girl who plays Cameron must be equally concerned, this would be the 2nd show that she is in that got canceled if it happens I think?

I quit watching about halfway in The show in the first season seemed to be always moving forward towards something. To me the start of the second season just bogged down.
I do want to watch eventually. It is on my Ipod on the train list so I hope there is another season to at least bring it to a conclusion

Prior to the days of every TV show being available on DVD I recorded every Space episode onto VHS. Wonderful wonderful VHS. Now if only I had a working VCR.
Speaking of DVDs though, http://www.amazon.com/Space-Above-Be...7877986&sr=8-1

To this day, I still use "Chig" as an insult to my friends who also watched the show.

Strange they would axe it before they find out the movie numbers.
You would think if the movie does well that could do well for the show.

Ditto on Heroes. I just missed a week this season and have never gone back --just found I really didn't care whether I saw them or not. They had become so boring. Thankfully Lost picked it up but I'm going to be looking for something new to watch as well.

Heroes picked up at the end of the season and the next volume should be good as they get some good writing talent back on it.

I actually watched heroes the whole way through, although somewhat half-heartedly.
The last episode was alright, but the show in general got a bit ridiculous with the whole government conspiracy angle. Just a lot of ridiculous stuff in there. Plus I'm not so sure if I can put up with the Patrelli/Sylar alter ego/battle for control stuff that is most certainly going to happen.
If heroes comes back with a few new angles ill keep watching, but like i said before I'm looking for replacements.

Well that's disappointing. SCC was one of the few shows I made a point to watch. I was very curious about what would happen next season. In my opinion the show was very close to running off the rails. It seemed to be going in too many directions at once, not to mention the story telling was a bit inconsistent. Some aspects would be highlighted one episode and either forgotten about or tied up several episodes later. But it's too bad the writers don't get a chance to reel it back in and keep telling their story. Too bad.

I must say that SCC will always have a special place in my heart. As the Terminator was walking the hallways of the hospital in season one, in search of blood/plasma to rebuild his exterior look... My wife's water broke.
A was a little creeped out that the Terminator was in a hospital, and I had to go to one right away.
Once my son was in the picture, I found it hard to continue finding time to watch the show, and ultimately missed the season finale, and never picked it back up.
