A former caregiver for Ruby Dhalla told a House of Commons committee she had been “mentally tortured” while employed at the Dhalla household in 2008.
But the Brampton-Springdale MP countered that the Filipina woman and another caregiver had been treated with love and care when they worked for her family, and hinted at a conspiracy of sorts to taint her political reputation.

She is VERY tasty, no doubt about it.
Hard to say what's goin on here though. Both sides of the story are SO much different. Someone is lying through their teeth and I really hope we find out. On one hand I wouldn't be surprised but on the other, what could she possibly gain by being that way to her workers? Why would she demand their passports and marriage licence?
Wasn't there a case in the states somewhat similar to this one?

This is common practice for people who abuse foreign workers. By taking away their travel documents they add another layer of intimidation on them, over and above the threat of deportation.

What's the point of having foreign workers if you can't abuse them? You might as well just get domestic workers if that's the case!
