True he didn't say he was her father but all the clues make it terribly obvious regardless of this show's tendency to throw curveballs. The only possibility is that Charlotte just reminds Daniel of Teresa his girlfriend (from the grad ceremony, very similar voices when you compare the two).
The other points to note is that Daniel when approached by Richard in the 50's said don't do anything stupid and Daniel said I won't because there is someone I care very much for in this room...Charlotte. WHen Charlotte disappeared he looked like a man that lost his little girl and he then took off. At the swingset Daniel calls Charlotte sweetheart and with glassy eyes says you need to make sure you and your mom leave this island. Hence in the future Charlotte finds her way back to the island on Widmore's crew. The only thing I haven't figured out is why doesn't Charlotte know her dad, Daniel has likely been bouncing through time and had a daughter with Teresa prior to her going into vegetative state?

It's Wednesday....I got to bump this thread. I have watched this show from it's first episode (the only show I have ever done that with)...

I think that ever since they set a finish date, the show has gotten a lot tighter. Season 2 was mostly filler but near the end of season 3 when they decided on how many episodes would be left the show really started picking up steam.

I agree with you on the timeline of the tighter episodes. I'm thinking they really had no end and that was the problem. Pegging an end gave them the chance to have a middle and a beginning and then fill in the blanks. That removed that feeling that they were just winging it. I think killing off a few characters helped them as well with tightening the story line. That and virtually ignoring some introduced characters while concentrating on a set number of them.
It's certainly right back to a spot where I just don't want to miss an episode and they always end way too early.

Looking forward to tonight's episode. Only 2 left this season and I think they will set the stage for the "upcoming war". I'm curious how they are going to bring together the group in the 70's with Ben, Sun and the others on the island in the present.

I feel the exact same way. I think a few years ago I started to get really bored of Lost, to the point where I stopped watching. But now it's getting back to be extremely entertaining and I'm experiences those holy crap moments like I did in the past (like when that guy took Walt or when they opened the Hatch). I'm really looking forward to tonight's episode!!

I'm apparently in the opposite boat from most of you. I've found this season to be borderline dreadful, and they're going to need an end of season 3 style "pull it out of the fire" for me to keep watching beyond this season. When I sat down and thought about it, the only reason I'm watching this show is that I've been watching it from the start ... but that reason is starting to be not enough.

The Locke/Ben epsiodes have been outstanding. The rest have been un even at best.
And if I hear one more "Dude" from Hurley I'm going to kill him and bury him in a Jenny Craig box.

The show is moving along nicely, I am interested to see the conflict between Ellie, Widdmore, and the dude from suddenly susan.

I like Richard. I still think he's over 300 years old.

Between that and the end of scubs it was an amazing tv night.

Yeah the Scrubs finale (if it ends up being the finale) was outstanding. It's so hard to close out shows with a strong finale - expectations are always too high - but they hit that one out of the park. Maybe I'm a big softy but JD watching clips of his future was really well done.

Dude, Capn, you're a great poster, but scrubs? Really? That show is like being enrolled in the BME Pain Olympics on purpose. Dr Cox is amusing at times, but I'd rather eat kerosene, drink gasoline and piss in a fire than watch that show.
OT, LOST was sweet tonight. Ben and Richard seemed to have a moment regarding their respective levels of power (well, Ben's has been lost) regarding Locke taking everyone to see Jacob. My first thought was that Jacob is really old Locke, and this will turn out badly, although I was psyched when Locke said he was going to kill him. The island seems to speak to Locke in a different way than everyone else. Crud, I think I just used than incorrectly. Come get me grammar nazis!
Edit: great, Jiri likes that show too. Now I'll anger both the cereal lobby and the mod lobby. Weak.

I'd like to add that Bones surprised the hell out of me tonight, especially when they mentioned that Stewie from Family guy would be making an appearance. But it was a great twist.
Great night of T.V.
