Would you pay an extra $1 per case of beer to keep it cooler 50 minutes longer?

No. If you need an extra 50 minutes to drink a beer, there's something wrong.
Actually, it'd be interesting to try - I'll take draft anyday though

Some people say they can taste the difference between beer in cans and bottles.
Lew Bryson, an author of two books on breweries, said those complaints are psychological, since the aluminum is coated. But, he said, there may be a lingering taste when the seal of an aluminum can is broken.
The aluminum bottle could eliminate that, he said.
I don't think its psychological. The same brand of beer from a bottle and from a can tastes different to me. Personally, I prefer the bottle to the can. I also like the way the glass feels on the lips better than the feel of a can, so this isn't for me.

But how are the kids going to make bongs out of Aluminum bottles now? WAAAAAAY harder than making one out of a can!!
I hate beer in a can, it tastes like metal (kinda reminds me of chewing on tinfoil). Bottles or draft for me, thanks.

There are two many things that spoil beer. One is Metals (such as Al) and the other in light so glass isn't the greatest either.

The thing about keeping your beer colder for 50 minutes longer isn't a concern for the beer you are currently drinking, guys.
It's about keeping the next beer and the next beer cold for longer.
It would be great for patio or beach drinking.
Take a case of beer, chill it appropriately and four guys get to have cold beer until they finish drinking it.
I dunno, it makes sense to me.
Oh, and in regards to kids making bongs out of beer bottles...It would be easier to make a bong with an aluminium beer bottle. Introduce Mr. Power Drill with a larger bore metal bit to the aluminium beer bottle and Presto...instant bong.

Isn't what you guys keep talking about (keeping a beer cold) more easily accomplished with that newfangled gadget that some people have when they are at home, or even sometimes when they go golfing or camping?
You know.......that thing called a "fridge" or a "cooler"?
And if it takes you 50 minutes to finish an open beer (and it's not a Big Bear), you should be drinking coolers (no offence to the resident cooler connoisseur).

Yeah, but it costs a lot when you have to throw away a cooler when it's empty and you have no more use for it. When you throw away a case full of empties it's cheaper :P

After reading through one of the other threads I sincerely hope you mean "recycle" the coolers/bottles
