Really? this couldn't have been a random thought? You couldn't have bumped an older House thread? Seriously if every intense episode of all the shows that all the members of this forum enjoy deserved there own thread there would be a lot of useless threads.

It's not really a random thought... though you're right about bumping a House thread from last year or sometime during the last five years.
My bad.
Did you watch the show though?

I disagree. There have been many references in previous shows and seasons (even in Season 1) that have made it very clear that what happened tonight was not only a possibility, but has probably even already happened in the distant past.
...if you're referring to what I think you're referring to.

I could see how it could definitely be a jump the shark moment, but we won't know for a while yet.
*Spoiler in white below*
The thing with relationships is once they become too central, it messes everything up. Often the writers try to counter by having the relationship on the rocks, but that just makes it even MORE central.
Hopefully they can keep the writing fresh by still having interesting patients and developing the other characters more.
Plus there's still a lot more they could do with House. What if, after leaving Cuddy's he pops some vicodin? Haha. Their going to have to show him adjusting to working with the pain somehow.
The trick will be keeping the qualities we love about him (or love to hate about him) while still showing he's growing. If he just does a 180 back to his old self people will probably dislike that too.
I don't think people mind seeing characters grow or change, as long as it's organic and natural, and they still see what brought them to the character in the first place.
This could ruin it in many ways, however, if the writing is smart they could keep it going without resorting to old tricks, repeating storyline, or cheese.
We shall see.
EDIT: Besides the obvious implications of the ending (two big changes) I thought it was a pretty good episode. Nice to see the doc messed up and vulnerable. Plus the case was interesting too. Skin coming off, ewwwww.

I didn't watch it, I find the new House episodes boring. What was the big surprised? Cutty and House are finally dating?

Spoiler in white: Cuddy helped House through withdrawal from his medication and then they did the nasty together.

I'm tired of House, L&O, and NCIS. On I'm sick of DiNozo and Kate picking on McGee who is adorable. I guess it's another who's gonna bang who thing. Boooooooorrrrring.

For the Cuddy fans out there (you know who you are) do yourselves a favour and google Lisa Edelstein and French and FHM.

Just finished watching it. It'll be interesting to see if he keeps with it. I've loved this show from day 1. Awesome.

This is show that has being using the same recycled formula for 5 years. I am glad to see some development and change. It's not like it's out of the blue. They have kissed before in the show and have talked about their past relationship (if only one night) too.
Although I admit, I miss the whole thing with younger Cameron having the hots for older House. Cameron and Chase have been totally thrown to the curb in the show. They are just zombie-ing their way through their contracts.

I'm worried about the finale though.
First, something crazy is supposed to happen. Second, House always goes back to his old self. Third, I hate waiting for a new season to start.
