Jays are 2nd in the division now. I give it a few more weeks before they are out of the wildcard as well.

What a great veteran pick-up Millar was.

Hill makes an error in the top of the 10th today which allowed the Orioles to take a 4-3 lead. He than hits the tying home run in the top of the 10th, than in the 11th with two outs gets the RBI single to win the game. I'd say he atoned for that error. Jays win another series, so nice rebound after the KC series. Go for the sweep tommorrow.

Keep waiting for the Jays to start sliding, but their offense has been pretty clutch this year. Hill's off to a great start, good to see. So far, so fun........keep it going.

Jays always start their slide after their 1st series vs Bos or NYY. They get demolished, then go down down down.

As I write Rios launches a bomb into the second deck. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that boy can hit.
My memory has the Jays starting off the season slowly, getting themselves 8 or 10 games out by mid May then being unable to make up the ground the rest of the year. I can't remember the last time they were anywhere near even with the Yanks and NavyBlueSox the late in the season.

Woot - they sweep the Orioles!
The bullpen is, once again, freaking fantastic.

I was very happy to see Rios get that jack to put us ahead.
He's been really disappointing this season. Hopefully he's gotten himself out of this funk.

I keep wanting to say just wait until they face a couple of good teams in the AL but the fact is other than the Jays there really no other great teams in the AL as of right now. Just a bunch of mediocre teams, including the Red Sox.

Its hard to believe the Jays have the best record and run differential in the AL. I've watched a dozen + of their games and I still don't believe they can do it for the long run. However, I said the same thing about the Rays last year. I kept assuming they would fall apart throughout the whole season.
I'll disagree with Flickered Flame though. I think the NavyblueSox are the great team in the AL and the Jays are one of the many mediocre.

They are mediocre but they sure are producing the runs. It's way too early but if they could actually keep this up for another month should they go out and find another pitcher?

Marcum or McGowan could be a huge mid-season addition.

I would also like a fork to eat some humble pie regarding firing Gibbons.

Gaston is the difference maker. If you look at his record since he took over, the Jays are equal to or better than the Yanks and Sox.

JP on trading Doc:
"I don't think we're in the market to do that at his point," said Ricciardi. "We like our team next year with Halladay. ... If we ever did get to that point, we'd want a boatlad. And I don't know whether anyone would offer a boatload. But obviously, we're not at that point."
Gozer on JP saying anything about trading Doc.
STFU!
