Sometimes I just want to watch a movie where I don't have to think. Sometimes, I want a movie where I can put my mind on auto-pilot and pretend I'm in a world where everything is awesome and huge and fun, and even awkward weirdos like Sam Witwicky can end up with a hottie like Mikaela for a girlfriend, while their cars morph into giant robot guardians from space.
Which is percisely why this movie will probably be the only one I actually can't wait to see.
Why can't someone disagree with someone else's tastes in movies and be neither a fanboy nor a movie critic? Can't some people understand that others may not take going to the movies so seriously? Box office numbers tell it all, people want to be entertained with explosions, t&a, robots, ninja's, aliens, midgets, fart jokes, comic hero's and graphic gore. The only time I want to pay to watch Adrien Brody cry is if he's being beaten and tortured within an inch of his life.
So essentially you are saying that you fall into my first category, people who don't care to critically evaluate a movie?

Thanks for proving my point.
Why do I have to critically evaluate a movie? I feel sorry for you to be honest. I can sit down and enjoy a lot more movies than you can. The Mrs. and I are HUGE fans of creature features. If you rent Python 4: The Crushing and expect Oscar caliber acting you will be disappointed but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy the movie.
Live Free or Die Hard - Loved it, seen it a bunch, really helps that the Mrs. wants a piece of Bruce.
Transformers - Awesome, I love explosions and kickass CG
I not only enjoyed Starship Troopers but I watched and enjoyed the second and third installments.
I own not only Anaconda, but Anacondas AND Anaconda 3.
Sure, I can sit down and really enjoy There Will Be Blood or Sideways or Shawshank Redemption but I can also watch and a sh*tty movie and still be entertained.
I hope you have fun writing terrible reviews of the next Transformer move when it comes out. I will be at the theater having a great time not giving a flying fata what you think about my movie tastes.
I enjoyed the first good mindless movie to see. I actually like LeBoeuf. Hes a good actor and really funny.
I knows eh, I find I am like the only person who actually likes LeBoeuf. I don't get the hatred, maybe because he has had the pleasure of Megan fox sitting on his lap, and on top of him, and kissing her.
The trailer to me is Michael Bay being Michael Bay, TONS of explosions, effects, and no real story. Not that that is a bad thing, I loved the first, and like most of his other movies.
Unrelated to this movie, but Death Race was awesome.
OMG!!! Sweetness. That trailer looks awesome. I can't wait for this movie to come out!!!!
Megatron is my favorite character (as you can tell by my nick), so I was a bit pissed that he got destroyed in the first one and wasn't a big ass gun. Yet, I almost cried when Optimus Prime rolled up and transformed for the first time -- it was like my childhood dreams had come true.

Is that Devastator??
Yes to Devastrator .. well sort of. The dude you see with the big wheel is part of him, according to internet nerds.
Megatron is supposed to be coming back as a tank, which would make me think he'll be a hybrid of Galvatron near the end setting up a Unicron (or however they decide to F that up) fight for the 3rd.
I'm not making any judgements of people. I'm just saying most people don't want to or know how to critically evaluate a movie. I don't care what movies you like.
That's great, enjoy whatever movies you like.
What I'm saying is that regardless of whether you like a movie or not is inconsequential to how good it actually is. There isn't some universal a priori indicator of good or bad movies but, unless you can come up with a stream of reasons why Transformers is good beyond "I like to turn my brain off" it will remain a bad movie.

Unicron will not be a part of this trilogy. He'd be impossible to do.
Edit- Megatron comes back because of the shard of All-Spark that remains. Also Laboooof now has the all spark within him.

"Good: having desirable or positive qualities."
To me that would make a good movie a matter of opinion. Go figure.
Know what's awesome about Transformers movies? Even if I was blind, I'd probably still enjoy them from the sounds and the music, alone.
Seriously, am I the only one who smiles a little smile when Bubblebee's gun charges up, or when a one of them transforms and you hear that kind of studdering echo?
