I guess what I'm looking for are some tips or tricks on how to force myself to learn to sleep on my side. I've tried laying there on my side and just can't stand it, I always give up and switch back to the oh-so-comfortable stomach.

I sleep on my side and it isn't helping my lower back. I've tried the pillow between the legs and it was somewhat effective. Switched bed types and again it was somewhat effective. The best by far sleep I get is weirdly enough sleeping on the couch. I sleep on my side pressed up against the back of the couch and no back ache in the morning. Not comfortable and I'd much rather be in bed with my wife but once in awhile it helps.
If I had the cash I would definitely try one of those beds with all the doodads but otherwwise it's home remedies.
