I feel so badly for the Jays - great start, but they will ultimately get run over by Boston and New York.

The fact that Tampa made it out alive last year was unbelievable. I don't think that there is another division in sports that is so difficult to play in (in terms of actually being able to get out and make the playoffs).

Nice luxury tax baseball.

Purcey will be fine, young players struggle - it happens. It's only April.

True but he is a rookie... Would rather keep him on the farm. Problem is Purcey is the least of the Jays problems... Burres is going to lose every start IMO.

Jays have to hope Litsch and Janssen and Romero get healthy.

Big win by Richmond tonight. Hill continues to astound me. Man is he good.

Which just further annoys me that was "saved" for a Game 3 of the WCB that Canada never made it to.

Romero and Richmond combined to go 5-0 in April!

True, but I don't think anyone anticipated us losing to the Italians!

Was Richmond going to go out and hit for Canada as well?

Because hitting was as much responsible, if not more responsible, for that loss to the Italians.

hindsight is 20/20...We throw him vs the Italians and who do we have left for the Venezuelans...Technically, we had the pitching vs Italy to beat them without Richmond

Yeah, hindsight is 20/20 but Ernie Whitt even admitted that he probably made the wrong decision.

Been a nice start for the Jays...but I just cant see anyone staying with Boston...they are just so solid top to bottom.

Boston might win the AL by 10 games this year even with David Ortiz doing his best Garrett Anderson impersonation.

Could be actually entertaining to watch the Jays this year though. Very selectively of course and with the remote close by. If they are at least going to produce offensively then there should be some good games. Just need to miss the ones where their poor pitching staff gets hammered out of the stadium.

Fact is the Jays have zero depth at Starting Pitching. This is the organization biggest weakness... compared to the Yankee and Red Sox. When the offense levels off the loses will start to pile up.

Jays have to hope Litsch and Romero and Jannsen can be activated very soon.

Tallet and Burress are not starters IMO... These guys will get hit every time they go out.......
