First game last year keeps going through my head. Same team we play too.
3 for 3 at the plate, great defensive play then Arghh.

I think I will play catcher. Besides the team Junk has a few hotties!

My catching hand will never be the same. I tossed the ball back and forth with a guy from Aeneas' team to warm up and the guy can throw. I caught 3 of the first 5 right on the ball of my index finger. It has swollen up like there a f'n walnut implanted in my hand.
Played the game out and made most of my catches, but god damn that was painful. Now that I'm inside and my hand is thawing out, my finger barely moves. I'm prescribing myself beer. There's a case in the fridge... How many will I drink tonight? I'm aiming for six. Success is very probable.

Hey guys, so I can't make it as a sub on Sunday!! Seems the hockey team got bumped down a division, so hockey starts on Sunday evening.

Eh, no prob. Come out when you can. It's good times...

Oh, and injury update for your third line LW (me)... The beer is working. Pain is minimal, swelling down, fingers working properly... I'll be flipping people off on the way to work tomorrow morning! I must have some kind of healing superpower.

Naw, I'm talking about the CPSW team. I'm calling myself 3rd line LW because I'm modest. I'm more like a 2nd liner (on our team). And I'm using hockey lingo because we're all a bunch of hockey bums. And I'm on my 4th beer (plus the three I had at the yard).

We decided to call that night the preseason, and never to mention the second game again.

Yea, I was planning on it. That's why I hung around for the second game even though your guy showed up. But by the time the game was over, I was fricken frozen. Just wasn't feeling it anymore and decided to come home and whine about my hand on CP instead.

That was fun though. Glad I came out. Swing Baby is...Fun.

Yeah Terry throws pretty hard, but to be quite honest; Nyren(CF) trevor(ss) and Brad(3B) throw harder.

Remember that runner Brad hit with the ball. Bet he's still feeling it.

ps Jamie remembered at the bar that she has Volleyball playoffs Sunday night. So I have asked Lynne, then I'll ask Jody (Swing 1B) to play.
