Swine Flu found in Alberta, Government to keep location a secret
One case found in the Calgary area, the other in a small Alberta town, which we'll never know the name of.
Alberta's Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Andre Corriveau says both cases involved men, both had returned from separate trips to Mexico, and both illnesses were mild.
One patient is from the Calgary area and the other northern Alberta.
Corriveau says out of respect for privacy the exact town the northern Alberta case will not be made public.
Great thinking. Let's watch out for the poor unsuspecting small town folk.
Question.
Which situation would you rather have:
A) TV crews and other media coming to your town to cover a news story, and the knowledge that someone nearby has a potentially dangerous sickness
or
B) A government keeping information about where someone is sick under wraps because they feel it's in the best interest of the public.
Am I wrong to think this is silly? Is privacy really the largest issue at hand here?

It does seem strange that they wouldn't disclose the one location. I live in Northern Alberta so I'd be curious to know obviously.
I'm not really a conspiracy theorist or anything but the more I listen to these people talk about this, the more I think they expect it get much, much worse.
There's ALOT of people on tv (CBC newsworld) saying: "Don't panic!".

It's them or us. We give them an inch then next thing you know you'll be served up in a sty with an apple in YOUR mouth.
We can't let that happen.
Eat a ham sandwich today; do it for future generations.

Or maybe it's that kind of mentality that they are thinking might cause a problem if they release the town name.
People saying "Don't Panic" might be a sign that we should panic, it is also a great sign that we shouldn't panic.

So lets say you actually know the name of the town... then what? What good is it going do for you? The guy has probably been told to stay in quarantine for a while.

Official policy where I work is a quarantine of 10 days (or so the rumor has it) if anyone gets sick with it.
I should really start coughing and making a fuss, I want 10 days off! haha!

Which is exactly why they won't say... it will just cause unnecessary panic.

Ok. Let's get a few things straight.
1. There is no such thing as "swine flu". The "swine flu" is a thinly veiled cover story. The governments are afraid to admit there is a class 2 zombie outbreak. Read your Zombie Survival Guide (or get one - now!) the response so far has been 100% predictable.
2.

When does the government drop the fuel air bomb and then deny that the sterilized town never existed.
"But Mister Prime Minister we heard rumors that the plaugue started in Red Deer and that Red Deer was blown off of the map"
"What is this Red Deer you are talking about?"
"Red Deer between Calgary and Edmonton, several 10's of thousands of people, blown away by your Empire"
"Sorry not ringing any bells"
