I gave up o nthis show about a month ago and read recaps on zap2it or posts on here and to be honest I have no desire to go back. The show is so off the rails I don't even know what it's about anymore.
My understanding was every season was going to have its own arc with its own new characters with maybe a few cameos, but because people loved hiro et al so much they decided to change the format and it's been nothing but an absolute disaster.
A show that was pretty good and had a lot of promise was overmarketed, saturated and compromised for the masses and now it's crap. Oh well, one less thing to keep me on the couch mondays.

To me this is why volume 4 has been successful. For the first time since season one there is actually a well defined plot (government agency trying to round up everybody with powers). Volume 2 had a lot of very disjointed storylines with nothing really tying them together and volume 3 was overly confusing with the characters changing sides each week for no reason. Now in volume 4 the characters are at least acting consistently and there is a clear villain (Danko) and a clear plotline.
It would be awfully nice if they could stop killing off all the cute girls - Tracy, Daphne, Niki, Elle, Caitlin, Eden, Simone...

I haven't watched since 2nd season but doesn't this sounds a lot like X-men doesn't it? Mutants... superpowers.... Government trying to round everyone up.

So if they kill off random characters, that means introduction of new characters?

Angela can see the future. That's how she knew those guys were coming from here when she was in the back of the limo.

Angela's power is the first one that Peter acquires (in season one), as he dreams about flying with Nathan.
Also, there was reference to Peter inheriting Angel's power in one episode...as well as Arthur's power of absorbing powers. Nathan's flight was genetically engineered by Angela and Arthur, Peter's power is "natural".

I am actually quite enjoying season four. It is as much like season one as any of the others. They are bringing back many of the concepts that made the show successful in the first place.
Story arcs are not that hard to follow, they mythology is clear. I stopped watching Terminator because it wasn't doing anything for me, and I am happy that Battlestar is over, my brain hurt after each episode, and TBQH the way that the show was shot was depressing (as I suppose was the intent).
Heroes is a fun show to watch.

Honestly there aren't any truly original ideas out there. The vast majority of things have been done.
Groups of superhumans being hunted by the government is such a braod idea there is plenty of room for originality within it.

Wow, this show is really starting to pick up steam! Very much the same feel as season one, I like how they arent afraid of not touching on some characters for entire episodes (Ando/Hiro, Parkman/Mohinder this episode)...it really helps streamline the stories being told.
Only a few episodes left of Volume 4, and they are going to be very interesting.
EDIT: Also, we're starting to see things fall into place much like was predicted in Five Years Gone all the way back in Season One. *spoiler* Nathan and Sylar are set to meet in the season finale, too...*spoiler*
This show has really got me excited again, and there are still a month of episodes to go!

I know it's pretty trivial, but the actress who plays Sandra (Claire's mother) has the most distracting, unnerving facial movements. Sometimes on close-ups it seems like half of her face is paralyzed because she only uses the other one when she talks, but then sometimes it switches. And then the random twitchy eye movements.....
Weird.

Spoiler:
Chop off his head, grind him up and be done with it. It's like a Bond movie, plan some elaborate death (err sort of) and of course he'll be back.
And with the promise of a big fight between brothers, all we see is Claire looking into the room. /sigh

yep, pretty lame how cheap this show is with the special effects. always battle behind closed doors, turn the face away when shapeshifting, it's getting to be quite predictable
i'll give it another shot next season, but the minute i see yet another future painting apocalypse i'm done

not Nikki, may not even be Tracy. I might be Barbara, the third sister.
...or it might be an amalgam of Tracy/Nikki...ice with "different personality" (water).
if we get to see naked water butt, i am all for it!
