CP Photo Contest 17 - BELONGING - Vote now!!

Theme for this photo contest is "BELONGING."
I like themes that are general enough that anyone can enter - you all have pictures of this category - but which require some thought and aren't necessarily obvious.

I saw the BELONGING theme in another contest and some entries included a herd of animals, children walking hand in hand, a lone surfer heading to the water, chilling out with friends, posing for a goofy championship shot like the 89 Flames . . . . . a sense of belonging.

The weather sucks so lets cheer ourselves up.

Round one voting is open until 10:00pm on May 11, two weeks from today, then finalists will be presented for a final vote.

 ---------------
 Rules:
All photos must be no larger than 800x600 (or something close)
Please post only 1 photo per post (make a new post for new pics)
Post as many photos as you like, just keep it on topic
Vote by clicking the "Thanks" button at the bottom of the post
You may vote for 3 finalists.
Once the challenge leader (winner from previous challenge) chooses when to end the voting, he/she will change the thread title to explain when voting ends.
Once voting for the finalists is over, the challenge leader will tally up the votes and post (in 3 separate posts) the finalists.
Challenge leader again changes thread title to say when voting ends
Then, everyone comes back and votes on those 3 finalists.
You are only allowed 1 vote in the finals, so choose wisely
Winner of the challenge will start a new challenge thread and copy/paste these rules in the original post for consistency.
Don't be too specific with the theme nor too general. Try and get a theme that people can contribute to. Don't pick the red african ant of Kenya as a theme... nobody will post. Likewise, don't make the theme "stuff on earth"
 Have fun.

Well, I'm not entirely sure if this qualifies or not, but yeah. A lot of my shots are snow themed, and I guess you can say me and my friends "belong" there......seeing as we're always in it.
Contemplating a line:

Yes, they have to be your photo's.

I'd be surprised if everyone didn't have at least one shot of folks joking around, slapping each other on the back, going for a walk, communing with nature, on a team somewhere, etc, etc, . . . . .

Another one . . . .

I doubt this pic will get any votes but I'll post it anyways. The theme is 'belonging'. This is a pic I took when me and my two co-workers were lounging by our "rooftop pool" one hot morning in Rome. The pool may not have been the best one out there, but pools definitely belong in Rome in the summer.
Both chid and rockstar should remember Lorenzo, my business partner; Lucia, the brazilian girl we traded room and board (plus a modest salary) for cleaning; and our hostel mascot Leo... Sucha gooda boyyyy

As you can see, like a true Italian, Lorenzo refuses to wear shorts. And Lucia is abiding by the "When in Rome, do as the Romans" and already hitting the wine.

Not sure if it even qualifies for my own theme but a funny moment at my house yesterday evening, two-footed Polly and Miss Deer contemplate the improbability they both belong to the same Animal Kingdom . . . . .

Well, I'm surprised that the other pic got a couple of votes. I'm going to post another, but not for voting consideration. I'm posting this pic just to make sure that lest anyone think that Rome is merely an ugly, treeless, urban wasteland, there are indeed trees and gardens in my favorite city in the world.
This pic is (obviously) from the same rooftop, but from a different angle.
The lady in the pic is Claudia. The biology teacher from Munster, Germany that travels anytime her schedule permits her to do so, and speaks 6 (yes, six) languages. IIRC, German, Spanish, Italian, English, Russian, and French. With a strong comprehension of Portugese to boot (verified by Lucia).
Sorry to clutter up the thread, I'm also posting this because I often go back and look through these threads and I would be slightly ashamed to post just the one pic with all the ugly antennas and mechanical boxes and not justify it with a pic of the gorgeous side of Roma.
Those of you with a sharp eye and a knowledge of Rome will recognize the Palatino in the background, beside Claudia's face and above her delicious bottle of Stella.

How about does not belong? Because monochrome kitty clearly does not belong in the uber-colourful La Boca in Buenos Aries. |

A couple ladies on the floating islands in Lake Titicaca. They all wear brightly coloured clothes like the two in the picture. And they build the islands themselves with the reeds. |

I'm torn with this image. We could say it doesn't belong anywhere, and that it really doesn't seem to belong in a small town in Taiwan. On the other hand, we could also say that if it belongs anywhere it belongs just where it is, in a small East Asian town with no black people.
