I thought that was pretty expected? I have no problem with it, Ive always thought Pontiacs were some of the worst designed cars the last decade or so (still cant get over those ugly grey chunky plastic knobs everywhere).
Did love the old Firebird and Fiero's though. I didn't mind the direction and at least attempt at effort with the Soltstice...too little too late I guess.

I wish the brand survived just for the Firebird/Trans AM based on the new Camaro platform.

Sadly all these fan concepts of vehicles were always better than anything the designers and engineers at GM ever came up with. All they could do was put ugly plastic cladding and stick badges onto the ugliest Chevys and call them Pontiacs

That pic is from GM's design studios. Its basically the 2010 Camaro with a fender vent, new front clip, and different taillights. Unfortunately they could only justify building the Camaro and not the Firebird/Trans AM.

I like my Grand Am...
...not that my next car was going to be a Pontiac anyway, so no biggie.

My first new car was a Grand Am, so I am a little sad to see them go.

I would think Buick and GMC Truck should be on the list of brands to kill as well, plus sell off Saturn. They need to copy their competition and use Chevy for their main vehicles and than Cadilac as their upscale brand.

GMC trucks outsell Chevy. Buick could die or be amalgamated with Caddy but you'll see Chevy trucks disappear before GMC trucks.
If any car company is going to die its Chryslers.
