Thumbs up Exodus at the Warehouse

The thrash metal gods' Exodus webpage says tomorrow they are playing in Calgary.

Anyone from the CP goes there?

Damn I envy, man. Unfortunately I live in Moscow. Would give anything to show up at an Exodus show. Especially in Calgary. Maybe after a big win against Chicago (knock-on-wood*3).

I would have gone, but Exodus has put out 3 absolutely horrible albums their last 3 tries at the game.

Kreator is headlining, which made me want to go, but I think a concert sandwiched in between 2 Flames games in busy season is too much to take.

At first I was planning on going, but Testamanet are in town next month and I just dropped over $100 on AC/DC tickets. Not to mention that playoff tickets are expensive as hell, have to stop spending money sometime.

I only own a couple eary Exodus albums, not familiar with anything they've done with the new guy. I was a bit bored when they opened for Megadeth with Skinlab's singer filling in.

Only thing I know about Exodus is that Kirk Hammett used to be a member. Not sure if I've ever heard one of their songs though.

I thought this was about people leaving the warehouse. Maybe there was a fire drill or something...

Back in the Mid 80's to Early 90's, I was there as often as possible!

In fact! The Warehouse was definitely a big part of the best days of my life! ....what a great time! ... even met the love of my life in that joint....screwed it up and we parted ways, but it was fantastic while it lasted.

All I remember is:

Great Music

Great Atmosphere

Great People

Great deals on boooooz

Great place to meet chicks

Just Great, Great, Great!

.....One of my fondest memories of The Warehouse, was after the place shut down, which back then was wayyyyy past "last call", Me and my buddies would leave through the back door, (there was no front door back then) and there was ALWAYS this very sweet "older" (55-60) woman running a hot-dog cart. We'd always get at least one of those delicious steamy dogs!, My friends and I got to know her quite well and she was one of the nicest people I've ever met, Her name was Veronica and around that time Elvis Costello came out with a song entitled "Veronica".... To this day, I always think of the sweet hot-dog lady when I hear that song.

....Good Times, Good Times.

I wonder what ever happened to her.

Damn, and here I thought Exodus was coming to Calgary.

I have missed so many bands the past few years that go to the Warehouse. Amon Amarth, Soilwork, etc. I don't even know where it is.
