Yes Burrows hair-pulling was pretty pansified but I don't get the hate for Kesler. He's been nothing short of amazing this year, he does everything a good player does for his team.
Well, I don't hate him, but to me anyone that goads someone into a fight, watches the other guy take his helmet off, and then starts fighting right away WITHOUT removing his own helmet is gutless.

Uh oh, banned for no reason from a Flames board. What shall I do?
You've been a troll....errr I mean member for 2 days now and 100+ posts...I would say you need to find something better to do with your time. Please do everyone a favor and leave you are just hear to cause trouble. You need to understand you are on a FLAMES board and there is going to be many comments you do not like about your turtling, hair pulling Canucks and you need to learn to ignore them.
I still don't understand the point of joining a rival teams message board...you would never find me on another teams board especially Canucks or Oilers, so what is the point if you can't be mature and ignore the baiting posts and actually have a hockey discussion.

Where has Iginla ever waited for the other guy to take off his helmet, and then started to throw punches without removing his own helmet?
I know he hasn't taken his helmet off at times, and at other times he has, but I have never seen him wait for the other guy to take his off, and then not remove his own.

We can't be talking about Kesler? In the B. Jackman fight he took his helmet off prior to throwing any punches. I would like to see M. Cammalleri stand up for what he did to Havlat. But we all know that isn't going to happen. In terms of gutless Cammalleri > Kesler.

At the end, Laperriere takes his helmet off, and Kesler jumps right in and starts fighting without taking his off.

He fights guys without visors when he's wearing one. Same thing.
Well there are numerous fights where he does take off his helmet. I can show you videos of Iginla going after a player who isn't wearing a face mask. Things happen in the heat of the moment.

Oh come on. That wasn't 'heat' of the moment. Kesler had a chance to take his helmet off, and choose not too.
The fact that you can sit there and defend Iginla who goes after players with a face shield *after the play is dead* and use the argument "well certain fights he does take it off" is laughable. It's the same argument how for certain fights Kesler does take off his helmet.
I'm not calling Iginla gutless but you can't call Kesler gutless either. It was ONE fight and it was in the heat of the moment.
Odd bump, but here's the response from Backes.....pretty funny!

Backes said he has no past with either of the two, and has no idea how they would even know his wife's name. [It's in the Blues media guide.]
"They just have better researchers than I do," he shrugged. "There was a guy who got suspended for a couple of games [for talking about someone else's significant other], wasn't there?"
"Hey, my wife is a strong woman. She can take it," Backes said. "She's pretty attractive -- I'm pretty proud of what I landed there. I'm over-achieving."
