Windsor won game 1, a 4-3 OT win.

The OHL & WHL seem to have a bunch of powerful teams. I hear almost nothing about the Q - is there anyone there who can challenge?

I really don't see any team from the Q matching up to a team from the WHL or OHL. My opinion anyways.

Now imagine if Kelowna still had Luke Schenn...

IMO Schenn should have played one more year in the Dub. I hate when teams rush their prospects, that is unless it is the Oilers.

Yeah, I was a bit shocked that he didn't return. Oh well, makes it a bit easier for the Giants. Actually, I go to the high school which many of the Vancouver Giants(Grade 12 and younger) go to and they don't seem confident. I saw Neil Manning who was benched last game and Evander Kane talking(which suprisingly no one likes) and they were mumbling that, "we may get rocked out there". It's usually high fives and smiles from them but they seem pretty quiet.

Not very often, no. Not sure why. But, since the four team tournament was introduced in 1983, the Q has won only four national titles, and three of those came when it was hosted out east, giving them a 50/50 shot.

The WHL, in comparison, has 15 titles in this time, and the OHL has 7.

Whoa, a HS that loves Sinatra, that makes about as much sense as my love of Neil Diamond. Uber cool.

Yeah, I'm actually doing a 50s project on Sinatra right now.

Here's something that many scouts have picked up on Kane. He's an arrogant SOB, really cocky, but has talent. I hope Kane uses his talent and doesn't take stupid penalties(like he did in Game 6 vs Spokane) and leads this team like he's suppose to!

There were days I wished the Oilers had rushed Plante...

Yeah but, and I'm not excusing the behavior, I think most highly touted Major Junior players in Canada act like a '######'. I'm sure it is not a situation unique to your HS or Kane. It is an age thing.

My friend's brother is a linesman in the WHL, he says pretty much the same thing about 90% of the players we've quizzed him on.

Hitmen v Brandon starts tonight.
Should be a great series.
Looking forward to seeing Flames prospect Keith Aulie against the Hitmen as well as getting a look at Brayden Schenn, and Scott Glennie.

Well I mean on the ice he looks just like every other hockey player or acts like(trash-talking, etc.) At high school he's just a stuck-up ######.

Here's an example..

My friend who was housing Jon Blum at the time invited Cunningham and a couple buddies over to play some xbox. Kane was rooming with Cunningham and Kane overheard the conversation and said, "Yo bro can I come too?" My friend said Blum told him, "no ing way". Obviously he dislikes Kane, but he won't say it to him face-to-face because that would cause some problems in the locker room. SO Kane came over for 5 minutes saying, "yeah you guys know who I am obviously, oh xbox...nevermind that cyaaa" Seriously, he knew what was going on at the house and then just leaves like that. Also, some girl wanted his autograph and she kindly asked him during break when he was all alone and just told her to never bug him again. Come on, you're a star WHL player and some grade 9 girl wanted your autograph, give her a break.

Plante and Bortis have goals and the Hitmen lead 2-0 in the 2nd period.

Its now 5-0. 4 goals in about 5 or 6 minutes. Goal under review.

EDIT: Goal stands, Bortis with his 2nd of the game.

I can't believe just how good the Hitmen are. I'm going to have to catch some games before it's all done.
