Crazy Woman Packing Tapes Dog to a Fridge. Update: She gets 30 days in jail.
What the F???? I'm sooo peed off! I want to drive down to Colorado and kick her ass! I couldn't imagine my shiba fully encased in packing tape hung upside stuck to the fridge! Can't believe the guy didn't punch her.
when cops responded at 5 AM to a "report of a male and female yelling" at Beck's apartment, they discovered that "Rex's body was completely encased in packing tape." When Officer Kara Jurczenia asked what was on the side of the fridge, Toll replied, "The dog." Toll added,
The reports note that when Beck saw his dog stuck to the refrigerator, he told Toll, "Take him down," adding, "You are so sick!" Toll replied, "No, you are sick for not caring enough about me to get rid of the dog." The animal, whose paws had been bound with elastic hair ties, was clearly in pain and "yelped and screamed loudly" as cops worked to free him. "Rex just lay motionless, but breathing, on his kennel after he was removed from the tape.

Poor little guy. At least he will adopted fast and find a better home.

I'm a proponent of forced sterilizations on garbage humans.
Looks like they tortured the dog before. Yes whenever i bathe my shiba I use water hot enough to give her 2nd degree burns.
I observed a shaved portion on the right side of the dog and asked Toll what the injury was from. Toll told me they were trying to give Rex a bath, and apparently the water was scolding because his skin started melting off. They took Rex to the vet and he was treated for burns.

Ugh!! I'm going home at lunch to see my dog.
A heartless Washington Heights man was busted for repeatedly beating his girlfriend's family's dog and breaking 12 of the adorable pooch's ribs, officials said Wednesday.
The dog, a 2-year-old Shiba Inu breed named Michigan, was trembling in pain when veterinarians examined her hours after the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals arrested 24-year-old Richard Smith on Tuesday.
All but one of the dog's sets of ribs were broken, and several of them were in various stages of healing - meaning the abuse had taken place over a prolonged period of time, investigators said.

maybe i'm out of left field here, but why do people get so worked up over animal abuse, but hardly at all over abuse toward other humans? Maybe because human on human abuse is just accepted? or that no human is innocent and we can sort of defend ourselves, while a cute puppy dog is completely innocent and don't understand what's about to happen to them?
I dunno, i'm not defending the people that do these sorts of things to animals, but I think the bigger priority would be to deal with the people that harm other humans rather than executing people who do messed up stuff to dogs. Let's execute those people first and then we can deal with the dog people.

You must just miss the threads about people torturing their kids. By this time in those threads there would be 7 replies calling for their public disembowelment.

I've made this point before. Many people have more symapthy for animals than other human beings. I draft a lot of wills for people, and the SPCA gets named more than any other charity.

Because animals aren't filled with malice they way some people are? Animals don't attack other animals cause they are all pissed up looking for fights.
Animals don't know hate, contempt, anger and all those other wonderful emotions humans have. They don't go around killing people over $5 drug debts, kill theie families becuase their mate is leaving them.
Animals don't go around taping humans or other animals to fridges.
I have a far easier time respecting animals then some people.

Maybe you missed the National Geographic special on Chimpanzees.
Lots of animals kill their sexual rivals.

i could never work for the SPCA, i would be in jail for the rest of my life for murdering those humans that do these kinds of things to animals.
anyone remember that story a year or 2 back, maybe 3 yrs in didsbury the f'ing ###### that dragged a dog behind it's car?
makes me sick to my stomach. and i think his sentence was a gay slap on the wrist, or something not much more serious than that...i could be wrong tho, i sort of stopped listening after that b/c the story made me so ill.
perhaps for ppl that do this to animals their punishments should be that which they did to the animal?
although, if i were the one allowed to execute such punishment, i would not be able to stop there....

I find if it is s story abut an animal I tend to think of the animal in terms of my own pets I have had, and can't imagine anyone being so cruel.
If it is a person, then unless I know them (or know of them via some sort of back story) I find it is just a story about a stranger. I know that the person is a victim too, but I guess I expect people to be able to stand up for themselves while a pet can't.

Ever eaten veal? The treatment of those animals is far worse than anything these dogs received.
I'm not a animal rights guy by any means but I find the double standard is our society ridiculous.
