Default Play-On (Street Hockey) '09 Announced

whoot whoot!

Looks like I'll have to get our team back together for another shot at victory! Although we have sucked every year! Maybe we should put some CP teams together?

Either way, June 20-21 at deerfoot mall. Change from Stephen Ave, it looks.

Which division are you in?

We won the co-ed division last year, but don't really want to do co-ed again this year

Well, every year, I've just played with buddies who don't play hockey all that much. So we got dominated. Of the two divisions that weren't co-ed, we were in the one that wasn't elite.

What is it like? I might look to put a team in, is the play pretty over the top intense or is it just fun but competitive?

I had fun last year, until I read the playoffs sked wrong and thought my team didn't make the playoffs.

Later that day, I saw a bunch of messages on my rarely used cell phone. Turns out Everyone else showed up.

The kicker... I was the goalie. No one else wanted to suit up, so they played empty next with an extra attacker... and almost won.

There's different divisions. If I enter again, I will NOT be using my composite sticks. Man, did the concrete eat that up last year.

Sweet. I will probably be in town this year for it. I played one year and we almost made the finals. It was a lot of fun. If anyone needs players for a team I may be up for it.

It's a great weekend.

I played in Calgary the inaugural year, and Halifax last summer, and I'll be back in Cgy this year.

Who else will be in the elite div? You're going down!

Sounds like a lot of fun--I'll actually be in Calgary this summer, but I do have nagging back problems that will probably keep me away for this year.

what about a keeper? I've got a buddy who's a good street hockey tender. If he can't make it, I've got all his gear anyways. We can slap some pad on someone and go with it.
