He hasnt even finished his halfwayhouse/probation time yet...nevermind get re-instated by Goodell.

I dont think he will, or should. get back in the game this season. The NFL can do without the negative attention during these economic challenging times.

I could see that. Might turn out OK too. I don't think this guys is Lawrence Phillips at all. I hope not anyway. His little brother, on the other hand.....

And then they sign Tank Johnson and some mock drafts have them drafting the troubled OT out of Alabama (smith?). Yikes.
I don't think Marvin Lewis is to blame simply because when he has taken a stand the ownership has totally undermined him (specifically, Chris Henry). That franchise won't go anywhere with the ownership it has, and that is a sad indictment on the storied Brown family.

Default Harry Kalas

Sad news for the MLB/NFL... voice of the Phillies Harry Kalas dies today. Why is this in the NFL thread you ask? Because he also is the incredible voice for NFL films. Simply amazing broadcaster and voice.

Chiefs get one step closer to the Super Bowl with the signing of Zack Thomas.

Do Chiefs run a 3-4 or a 4-3?

If they get Curry their front 7 will look decent with Vrabel, Thomas, Curry, Dorsey, Johnson. They need a couple DE pretty bad though.

Who knows? New defensive co-ordinator this coming season. Lots of talk of playing both. I have been hearing lots of talk about a "hybrid 3-4".

They are moving to a 3-4 this offseason (along with Denver and Green Bay), but don't really have players to fit their scheme yet. Dorsey isn't a nose tackle, so they will probably move him to DE. Tamba Hali will move to OLB, so there are still some big holes up front.

Thats a big problem in KC. They don't have players to fit any scheme.

The Patrioits defensive line:

DE Ty Warren, 6-5, 300
NT Vince Wilfork, 6-2, 325
DE Richard Seymour, 6-6, 310

They are more like defensive tackles than ends... maybe not a bad fit for Dorsey.

True but a 6 foot 6 or 6 foot 5, 300 pounder is a lot different from a 6 foot 1, 300 pounder.

No doubt... further proving the point that he's a bit of a misfit in a 3-4 defense. The Falcons really liked Dorsey but took Matt Ryan and still need a DT... I wouldn't be surprised to see him traded.

NFL schedule released:

http://www.nfl.com/schedules/release

Saints get 3 national TV games, all at home vs. ATL, NE, and DAL.

The Superdome tends to get a little crazy when the locals have all day to "prepare" for the game...
