Is this even safe?
Ha - I could totally see myself doing this and then getting too ######ed to make it down the ladder.

Cow, you really need to publish a book of some of your dog pics, there are some excellent stories to be told there.

Everything's better when done naked. It kinda goes without saying, doesn't it?
Today was the best for nice relaxing moments. I spent a lot of time sitting on the deck bsing with buddies today. What a day. I wish they could all be like this.

A warm apple pie, and the house to myself.

Hiking in K-country or somewhere nearby, and the rush of energy that comes when you finally break through the treeline.
The first beer after a long, dusty hike.
A diving catch in a game of Ultimate Frisbee.
Harmonizing with other singers and realizing that yes, the song really sounds great like that.

Oh, nevermind...
2. Sitting at the side of a remote gravel road... totally lost... watching a thunderstorm moving across the prairie landscape. The fresh crops swaying and whistling in the breeze, not a drop of rain, some birds chirping but otherwise total silence. Just watching the menace that appears to be far away wreak havoc and breathing in the slightly cool, refreshing air that smells of fresh rain and wet countryside.
That's what you meant by #2 .

My wife and kids have been in Canada since Saturday. Though I've enjoyed my time alone, when they come home this weekend I'll have a new favorite moment to add to the list.
Other favorites:
Hitting it close on a par 3
Hitting the downhill side of a mountain bike trail
Feeling that tug on a fishing line

It's been awhile but sitting atop a horse on a summer's day somewhere remote in the foothills or Rockies of Alberta. Nothing beats that. I miss it very much.

I'm surprised that the "real" #2 hasn't been brought up yet:

1. Post work-out after a nice long steam. Your body starts taking in all this oxygen and it's just a natural high. I become so alert and awake and I feel like I could do anything.
2. Driving anywhere during twilight and listening to the perfect song to match my mood.
3. Finding a nice clear stream and seeing the fish rise up and take your fly.

golf course moments.
I'm also a member at a course and I golf a lot by myself. what I do quite a bit of is get out first in the day, before anyone else. Then it is just me and nature, and the grounds keepers from Mexico, but i like the quiet peaceful atmosphere.
When I do golf later in the day, when I get home and have a shower and put on swim trunks to get that free flowing netting feeling, and have a cold beer and clam, and watch the sunset.
and also
