How do you know they actually split up? It wasn't on 'Extra' or 'Entertainment tonight' so i don't believe it.
WWE have stated that the internet is changing the way they do business. What they did made internet watchers look funny!

A real life wrestling love triangle is not going to make it on 'Extra' or 'Entertainment Tonight'.

If this was all a gimmick then the various wrestling websites would have reported it right when the whole thing started. While there's sources who like to keep things secret there's sources who like to spoil things. This the latest on the situation from rajah.com.
Last night on RAW, Matt Hardy made his return to WWE by jumping Edge and verbally ripping on Edge, Lita and WWE. The appearance, which was the start of a “worked shoot” storyline, confirms Matt Hardy is back with WWE in some capacity.
Right now, there is a lot of speculation as to the whole Matt/Edge/Lita situation. Was this whole thing a big setup? When did Matt agree to return to WWE? What about TNA? We have obtained the following information, which sheds some light on each of these questions:
* This almost definitely started out as a real life situation. Lita did cheat on Matt with Edge and Matt was really fired from WWE in April.
* The agreement between WWE and Matt was reached within the past week. Matt has been weighing his options, with working for TNA and/or Ring of Honor as very legitimate possibilities.
* WWE has been measuring Matt Hardy’s value for months. The “We Want Matt” and “You Screwed Matt” chants were the first signs that Hardy did have a strong following. WWE writers were forced to pair Edge and Lita together as heels based on crowds turning against the two as a result of their treatment of Matt. Paul Heyman’s “Matt Hardy” reference to Edge at ECW’s One Night Stand PPV and Matt Hardy’s entrance video playing at Edge and Lita’s wedding were also opportunities to test the waters of Hardy’s potential. The massive crowd reactions showed WWE management that bringing Hardy back would be very profitable.
* It appears Matt’s decision was based on several factors. TNA offered him a very generous deal, with the promise of being a featured main-event performer in a growing company. He would have caused a big scene in TNA and would have also had the opportunity to work with his brother Jeff for the first time in several years. Unfortunately, TNA has been unable to secure a national television deal. They are expected to announce an agreement with Spike TV, but as of now, nothing has been formalized. Without a TV deal, TNA’s appeal took a hit. Matt ultimately went with the “sure thing” - big money and the guaranteed national exposure that only WWE can offer.
* Sources at RAW report that Matt Hardy did not have much of a presence backstage at the show. He simply showed up, worked his angle, and left. If he did communicate with Edge and Lita, it was done in a very private setting.
* Matt will make all of his upcoming scheduled indy dates. He will next be seen this Saturday in Ring Of Honor. It is unknown for how long WWE will allow Hardy to work outside dates as part of the “anti-WWE” gimmick.

I'm wondering how REAL that display was.
He didn't say "screw you Edge" but "screw you Adam" (Edge's real name). He even went "FU WWE" over and over. Plus, with all the security there, with handcuffs and everything... and they weren't being nice about any of it. You can usually tell when it's staged as they're "nice".. but not last night.
Sure some of the cameras were in the right places... and sure some of the timing was great... but it felt like so much more real than anything else.

I dont think it was staged either. Just the way he attacked Egde in the back seemed real. I wish we could get confirmation on this.
Aside from that - is it me, or is he looking a big out of shape? chubby...probably not training as often.

The thing they screwed up about making it look legit was when he was taken out though the backstage. If it was real they would have had him taken out through the side like they do when a fan jumps the railing. I also thought that they shouldnt have had him jump Edge backstage. You would think that if it was real that security would have made sure that he had no way of re-entering the building.

It looked "too real" and did not have the wrestling feel to it.
Plus when was the last time you had those yellow t-shirted event security actually touch a wrestler. Usually it is several ref's and Srtg Slaughter come down to break it up not event security.
Plus the police look quite real too.
Not sure what is going on but it was pretty cool.

This is the first time I've ever seen more people arguing that something in wrestling was real, than people arguing it was fake.
I did not see it so I cannot provide good speculation, but based on what people have said I would assume that Matt's appearance last night was scripted. They have used the average joe security guards to deal with wrestlers in the past so that doesn't prove if this incident was real or scripted.

this is EXACTLY what wrestling needs...a kick in the A$% to get it exciting again...now they need to bring Bret back and get him involved in the Michaels-Hogan angle

If the hitman came back, he would raise the roof! if the ancient 72yr old nature boy can still wrestle, then bret forsure can.

you're right, I believe Flair's actual age is 107
It wouldn't suprsie me to see Brett do some light work in the WWE, maybe the odd "match" of kick, punch, kick, kick, punch, sharpshooter. But again, I haven't seen his physical state in the last number of years. But Hogan and Austin are doing the same things now (mind you they always did kick, punch, kick, kick, punch instead of wrestling)
did anyone see The Matt Hardy Show? I think that's the url, I have it at home, and it's not 100% work safe (language) so I'm not going to check it here.
