Doesn't the "person" opposing the plan want the project to be moved a little bit away from the bow?

That's one of the best parts of the pathway system and it shouldn't be sacrificed for a poor plan to upgrade Shouldice.

That said, the opposition website isn't very good at clarifying the issue or proposing an alternative.

From what I have been able to gather it appears that this is not the MCA but a single person. The MCA was the group that brought up the pathway issue and I understand that this person is just opposed to the project.

The funny thing to me is that currently there are four fields there right now. The traffic issues still exist, the lightening is still on and the bow still has neighbours. The only difference is that the turf can be used more often and that it is safer for the players.

So long as they're using FieldTurf and not the old crap this sounds like a great plan. I always preferred real grass, but by the end of the season there wasn't much in terms of grass left.

Do you remember the old turf on McMahon? Hard a rock and you would just fall down for no reason at all. Stupid turf monster!

It is the field turf style field. Like grass only better!

I sent my letter in and talked to both heads of the MCA. I found out it wasnt ethier of them, they were really supportive and wanted these fields more then anyone.

The old McMahon turf was terrible, but I'd take that over Taylor field any day. Playing there was horrible, seams everywhere, dips and rises, bare patches, it was just generally horrid.

I remember the first time I stepped on FieldTurf at a trade show, I couldn't believe how awesome it was.
