Looking for Marathon Wingman - May 31
I find it a lot easier to run far if I have some company, so if anyone is interested, looking for a running/training partner for the May 31 Calgary marathon. I plan to run it in about 4 hrs +/- 10 mins. If you are interested in running the race together, and perhaps doing a few training runs (the 20 mile Sunday runs in particular), drop me a line. My first marathon, I chatted to some old fellow from Chicago for the last 30 k - made it a lot easier and enjoyable.

This thread title is totally misleading. I thought this was for a weekend in Vegas or something along those lines.
Good luck in your run though.

Why don't you split it up?
I am willing to take any 100 m stretch that no one else wants.
If you want to talk about Eger, I could do another 75 m for you.

There you go - maybe b/w 400+ CPers, I can have company for all 42.4 km. People will think it's some sort of a gay pride thing, but...

Cannot help ya with the training but good luck nevertheless Vlad. You plan on running the whole way or mixing in a few walk breaks?

Can't you join a group that wants to run in a certain period of time? I know they have that in the Detroit Free Press marathon.

If you're looking for someone to run with for the training bit I'd do LSD's with you I live in the NW...
Edit: the running room has free "clinics" on Wednesday and Sundays, the sunday ones are nice, the long run sucks alone... Some of the other running stores have free clinics too...

Thanks. I know about the clinics - not my thing - just looking for 1 or 2 people, not 40.
