Alright, I've been thinking of some things that you could do while you are here. Do you like golfing? There are tons of courses in and around calgary you could check out.
You could go and watch "Shakespeare in the Park" I go at least once every summer. It is free, but then at the end they ask for donations if you want to donate. Here is the site if you want to check out more Shakespeare in the Park info
If you are up for a little road trip you should go to Cochrane, it is pretty close to Calgary and has cute shops and of course its famous ice cream.
If you like hiking and out doors, you should head to Canmore or Banff and check out the mountains.

If you like baseball, the Dawgs are playing tomorrow at Foothills, while the Vipers are in town beginning Tuesday. Dont expect large crowds, but it is a nice way to spend an afternoon in the sun away from the Stampede (that and most of the hot girls in tight clothes are over 18.
  )
Fish Creek Park is usually a nice place to spend a day walking, but recent flooding has left much of it damaged or closed.

You arent in the bar scene, so that isnt much of an option.

Calgary Tower/Olympic museum at it's base.

 Thanks for the ideas!
I did take part of the museum last week, second day we were here, was great! Ive been seeing alot of Eau Claire market lately, is it normally this dead?

Unfortunately I dont like baseball. Hockey is my sport, but too bad there is none right now LOL.

 Thanks bud!

I enjoyed 17th, the tower, as well as downtown last week. Im not much of a golfer, I find it quite boring to be honest haha. I have a thing for hotels and have been checking out various hotels last week too lol. Hockey, racket sports and working out are my sports. There is a gym/health club in this hotel, which is awesome - keeps me occupied and fresh.

Went to Smugglers in for prime rib the other night as well, uhh cant say it was too good haha.

Just go to the grounds and check it out... even if just for a corn dog.

I've gone twice so far. I can't really afford to go much more, although there are some musical acts I want to see. I wanted to see Hot Hot Heat tonight but unfortunately I have to pick up my mom at the airport.

The calgary Stampede is quite a well known event worldwide. Just to be able to say that you went to "The Greatest outdoor show on earth" is reason enough to go.

If you want to see Calgary - go ahead, take some of the suggestions.
Stampede however is about 2 things: drinking and the rodeo. If neither of those interest you, then don't bother. However, there is no better place to do it.

I really suggest the chuckwagon races/grandstand show. The show isn't really that great, but there is absolutely nothing like the chuckwagon races. 32 horses and 20 men on a track build for 10 of each, then you add the wagons! Seriously, it is one of the most exciting things you can see live.

if anyone's going in the next two days (Mon, Tue) check out the jousting. Real live knights with armour, lances on horseback, trying to knock each other off. Very entertaining.
