Someone should tell the writer that it's Adrian Aucoin... not Keith.

Thanks Hoody, even nearing the end, it's glad to hear things out of QC. I actually like those jerseys.

Are they a special event thing?

Dobbles.....what's with the Kris Chucko no parking avatar?

As for Boyd's stint down in the minors.....given where he is at and his expectations of himself to be an offensive player, I hope he takes it upon himself to dominate games in the AHL. He should be the best player on the ice every night and take this opportunity to show his offensive upside.

he dominated for about the first 3 mins of ice time last wed night and has been meh since.

Light on his skates and seems to be scared to go into high traffic areas.

just showing my frustration with chucko. its kind of hard to think that i would dislike the guy thats scored the 2nd most goals, but i guess you would just have to watch him play to understand. i have never seen so many botched breakaways in my life. he cherry picks as much as kolanos did last year, he just doesn't have the skill to do anything with it. he rarely skates hard back to the zone. heck he rarely makes it back to the zone at all. he still loses too many battles along the wall and in front of the net. yet amazingly he has an uncanny ability to glide in when the puck is loose in front of an open net, and just tap it in. it really is amazing. he is definitely the wayne gretzky of putting in loose pucks that he had no part in getting there...

i could go on and on about how much i loathe chucko, but back to boyd...

i really expected to see some flash from him in the offensive zone. haven't seen much yet. if i recall correctly he was playing with van der gulik and vigilante at even strength over the weekend. vigilante is one of those 110% effort guys so i thought that would generate some more space for boyd, but didn't get to see much over the weekend. hopefully tomorrow is a breakout night!

Like the lazy ass play behind the net waiting for the puck to come to him just standing there like an Idiot until the rivermen picked it off and his lazy ass skated like a girl to the bench?

They were fan appreciation jerseys. As dobbles said, they were given away after the game. He's a better picture.

Wow... I would rather win a regular QC jersey. That's destined to be re-gift.

from far away i thought that the jersey had purplish flames at the bottom. only later was it pointed out they were the outlines of people. apparently very similar to something american idol uses.

i was not a big fan of the jerseys, though when i saw one up close it wasn't as bad. as alan said i would much rather have had a regular jersey. but i didn't win, so it doesn't matter!

I'm more disappointed in the play of Boyd since he came down than I am in Chucko's play....

I agree that he should be the best player on the ice. And too often he isn't.

And I'll make a prediction right now. After listening to McGill talk about Chucko last night, he'll be receiving the Most Improved Player award on Friday night.

you are probably right sparky. how can you not go with the guy thats got all those goals? and i have always said, he is a lot better than last year. (i felt last year he was one of the worst forwards we had)

i agree with your statement about boyd. i had hoped he would really generate some offense for us. at least be a replacement for what we lost with lundmark leaving. but i have only had a few days to be disappointed in him, not the last 18 months!

It seems like Boyd has tried to do too much when he's on the ice since coming down. Too much fancy puck-handling and not enough teamwork.

Chucko has had some garbage goals, but he's also had some surprising goals. He's had several goals where the game has hit a lull and he's the only one playing hard. Some of those have ended up being game winners. Unfortunately, Chucko hasn't had the same type of success at crunch time. Still a bit inconsistent, I guess.

It's funny you would post that. Saturday night he had the puck behind the net and was trying all this fancy stuff when there were two guys right there that he could have passed to, but didn't.

He needs to learn that there are five guys out there for a reason.... What a difference between Boyd and Peters in the few games they've played! Peters gets a star for his contributions without scoring a goal and Boyd....Boyd gets to skate around and show us that he can turn over the puck!
