Snider and Lind each have HRs. Lind is 3 for 3 and Snider is 2 for 2. Sportsnet said Lind has put on 15 to 20 pounds has lifted allot of weights.

Ahhh opening day, the Jays win and I always think they have hope..best time of year to be a Jays fan.
I wish Halladay could pitch every day.

They should! use him out of the bullpen for an inning....
They should pitch him every 4 days at least

MVP- Halladay
POY - Doc
Roy- Snider
Surprise - lind
Wins: 75
I wonder if we could go to a four day rotation for doc and have richmond as the lrp.
Halladay got lit up but finally had run support. Lind with six rbi's. Six! He might be big time contributor.

Aaron Hill hits a 3 run jack to put the jays up 4-3 in the bottom of the eight (Rolen led off with a solo jack). The beej gave upa solo jack in the ninth to tie the game. Currently going into bottom of 9. Best time to turn on gameday eva.

That win was nice to see. I think it took the Jays something like 60 games before their 1st walkoff win last year, and those wins are such confidence builders. Purcey looked good too.

Nice to see Purcey start the year with a solid start. BJ looks terrible, I know his velocity is down, but to not see him hit 90 on the gun is concerning. I don't know if I can handle many more 9th innings like that.

Purcey was good but lets face it, Detroit blew that game for Jackson who was unbelievable. Good on the Jays on gettting everyones hopes up.

Nice win last night -- it's early, but I think the Jays will be competitive this year... probably with a lot of high scoring games.
But B.J. Ryan doesn't look good to me at all.... He peaked at 89 on the gun, which is a little below last year's average... but was also throwing his fastball in the 85-86 range. I think it was an 86 mph fastball that Brandon Inge hit to the restaurant last night to tie the game... He got the win, but looked like he did in Spring Training... I would consider putting him on the DL until the velocity gets back to his 2008 level at least.

BJ Ryan looked poor all spring... Hopefully the Jays don't wait to much time for this guy to find his game.
