OK, I totally didn't understand something in Family Guy tonight - when they were interviewing babysitters there was a strange creature they interviewed that just wailed. When he left a dinosaur appeared and shot something out of his horn. What the heck was all that about? I figure it some sort of pop culture reference but I missed it.

After some searching, it looks like it was from this old cartoon:

^^^Well done Anthony. That is probably that most obscure FG reference to date I think.

The downloaded simpsons quotes rant was pretty ironic.

no man, Stewie's rant was unreal.

"... and watching your favourite downloaded Simpsons episode, oh Mr. Plow, you know the song, WE ALL KNOW THE DAMN SONG!!!"

I practically p*ssed myself when they were interviewing Gleep as I remember watching the Herculoids and Space Ghost in the early '80's and I thought it was really bad then. Even at 8 years old I could still spot crap on television.

That is one warped show.

I can't believe I missed out on it the first couple of times it was on.

I loved that too.

Therapist Joe says: Italians come from Italy.

Gold.

Seems that instead of going for more 'shocking' humour like they did earlier, they're going for the random pop-culture references for a laugh? Not complaining, just an observation.

Seems weird to call it a Team America rip off, there have been constant-puking scenes in numerous shows/movies.

SNL anyone?
