Westjet has a seat sale to Winnepeg from Calgary for $109 + taxes
depending on the vehicle, it might cost that much in gas anyways
edit Air Canada has seats as low as $87 + tax; its a no brainer

Doesn't Greyhound go into Calgary from Brooks? For that matter, doesn't it go to Winnipeg too?

yeah but it's cheaper to take a plane. it's about $171.00 from Brooks to Winnipeg by Greyhound. Last time I went home to see my daughter, I lucked out by going on kijiji/craigslist and each way only cost me $60 in gas. The people that drove me were really cool too.
